You stated it correctly smurf0898. The community of Canfield does not know all that goes on behind closed doors. If you have any questions about salaries and pensions for all teachers and administration just go to www.buckeyeinstitute.com. You will see the high salaries for Canfield. Major ways to save money: 1. GET RID OF ZAMBRINI. He is a pompous individual and not professional! 2. All administrators need to take a salary freeze and need to contribute to their pensions. I worked in the districts and know that the school picks up both the employee and employer portion for them. 3. The board needs to make it if you pay 10% into your pension then the school district equals it not pay 14%. All employees should pick up a higher % of the medical. 4. Get rid of the retired rehire of the Financial Manager that we have not needed for the last few years. That is what we have a Treasurer for with her assistant. We pay for the retirees medical + he makes $79K+. Get rid of the Athletic Director who makes $80K+ who cannot even subsitute and has 2 to 3 employees working with him. Mr. Weiss and his secretary did it for many years and he could also teach. Our enrollment has not gone up over the years. It has stayed consistent. 5. If Mr. Zambrini who talks down to the whole community would not have missed grant dates we have gotten some needed money. That 's your job! The district ownes land in front of the Mccune baseball fields. What are you doing with that. C.H. Campbell schools are falling apart. We need to combine the elementary schools and possibly the middle on the land. Get a loan and sell the other schools to retirements homes. That land is only an investment if you have plans to do something with it. 6. Get rid of being able to receive tenure at 3 yrs of service. You should be reviewed on merit not on who you know and tenure. The rest of society has lost pensions and medical. It is not right for every entity to cut back also.
