Beaver residents appeal for more well regulation

I find it interesting that Mz. Davis moved to Beaver Twnp. because of the beauty. And once they drill this well. It wont be beautiful anymore. Beaver Twnp. has several hundred wells currently in production and they have been there many years. All these wells were FRACKED. I would assume according to her and her type that all the water has been poisoned, and there are earthquakes. Seems to me her only agenda is to hug trees. Did she and the activists from Cleveland ride their bikes or horses to the meeting and was it held by candlelight. Or did they drive their gas powered cars and turn on the electric. Wake up! We have a chance to bring several thousand jobs back to Ohio and some people want to screw it up.

Texas co. wants to lease mineral rights at Poland cemetery

Drill baby Drill. The last I knew graves are only 6 ft. deep and the oil is over 9000 ft. deep. They won't drill in the cemetery so what is the danger. Do not confuse the facts. They have been drilling for oil and gas in Mahoning County since the 50's and most of these wells have been fracked using the same process as today. The village of Poland would be crazey not to take the money. Your right it is always about the money. But don't let scare tactics confuse the facts.

ODNR still unsure of D&L well’s tie to Valley earthquakes

Again, The tree-hugging fruit cakes are all warning the "sky is falling" leaving us with toxic waistland, poison water, killing children, crumbling houses and streets. All in the name of corporate greed. Evil people wanting to ruin anyone in their path. The last I checked Corporations hire people, Corporations provide pay checks, Corporations purchase goods and materials from other companies, so that they can hire people and provide paychecks to their workers. People just like you and me. (Well at least like me.)
My wife and I both have cars. We use these cars to visit family and friends. We also use these cars to go to work each day and earn a paycheck. We also pay taxes. The taxes provide services and welfare for people just like you and me. (Well at least like you.) We also use these cars to go to the grocery store and purchase food grown by farmers. However, I can't drive my car and farmers can't grow the food we eat with-out the Evil Corporations providing gas and oil.
These tree-huggers are probly the first to call the evil power company and complain when their electric fails.

D&L rails at Hagan, mayor

I agree, lets have a study funded by "tree huggers" instead. What kind of results would we expect.

Spoiled public employees raise ire

Does anyone remember US Steel, Youngstown Sheet and Tube, or Who the "Big Three" in the auto industry was. We showed them who was boss! Do it our way or we'll go on strike! Well look where it got us. We may not like where we're heading. But we will change one way or the other. It's amazing how much union support the teachers are receiving, However drive thru the staff parking lot at you local school and look at all the foreign vehicles. It's no wonder companies are taking their business to Right to work States or out of this country completely. You may want to blame the Governer but this problem began many years ago.

Trying to make sense of gas prices

I'm so happy to see that the high price of gas was just a policital move from the right to reward the greedy and rich oil companies. For a breif moment I thought perhaps it had something to do with the declining value of the US dollar. Or even could be related somewhat to the fact that Oduma placed a moratorium on offshore oil drilling in the gulf. But then that wouldn't have anything to do with the price of gas. I'm sure the writer is correct it's a republican conspiracy. And its probably Sara Palins fault too.

Blame Boehner, not Pelosi

Blame the Republicans, Blame Boehner, Blame the voters for being dumb. Blame the Tea Party, When will the Democrats who lost the election take responsibility for their own actions or inaction. They did not represent the will of their constituents. It's time to run this country like a business. Leave the pork in the barn. Betrus needs to stop crying the election is over.

Strickland: Kasich should keep some of my initiatives

Does Strickland really believe this crap, Anybody with common sense can see that the state is going in the wrong direction. Education- For the 3rd straight year State funding was cut to the schools. Yet we still have unfunded mandates. Rail System - $400,000,000 money pit. This would have been a burden on Ohio tax payers for decades to come. If you don't believe it look at WTRA or any other transit service in the state, Without Federal, State, and Local funding they all would fail. Strickland sold out Ohio's Agriculture industry as well. After the voters agreed on a Livestock Care Standards Board to monitor Ohio's Livestock industry, Strickland struck a back room deal with the US Humane Society- (just a fancy name for a bunch of left-wing vegans who despise anyone who eats meat.) Ohio has already started to loose producers to other states. With many more to follow. If you think all this has been progress, Then you must be overjoyed with all the progress we seen in Washington. the past 2 years.

Water contamination worries surface over shale drilling

I have a suggestion for all the people worried about water contamination. Take all the property you own and don't lease it to the greedy oil companies. But if someone else owns the property and pays the taxes. They have the right to lease and drill under the current rules set forth by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and The Ohio EPA. I agree with Stan on this one Drill Baby Drill.

UPDATE: Obama pumps up largest crowd since inauguration in Columbus

Isn't it great that he can speak to a group of college students, Many who have never voted, never held a full time job and most have never paid income tax. Most have never paid for health care either. Also are great Governer was quoted "Because of Obamacare there are millions of Ohioans who will now have affordable health care" I'm self employed and my health care just went up 30%. And my taxes will go up as well. And these dumb democrats dont understand why the Chamber of Commerce made up of mostly small business owners would support the Republicans. They really have no clue. My Grandfather always said, "When the crap gets to deep and starts to smell. It's time to clean it out."
