Unions, Dems vow political payback for right-to-work law

Do you know that Ohio and MI are both “at will” states? Do you know what that means? It means you can be fired for ANY reason. Sure, when you’re unemployed you can hire an atty. and fight the injustice, but most folks don’t do that. So… should we pay taxes??? I like clean H2O and public schools and cops and the firefighters are nice too, especially when your house is on fire, so I’m ok with paying taxes. If you have a job with a labor agreement that provides you with a profit sharing, and the right to a grievance process if you get fired just because, or the healthcare, or the retirement, or the seniority rights, but you don’t want to pay?? Are you kidding me?? These things are negotiated, not given. And the non-union shops that have all these things, it’s because a UNION fought for them. Freeloaders are even worse than scabs. Right to work sounds good, but it is not.

Obama rocks with Springsteen in Columbus, hoping for encore

I voted for Obama and I'm proud of it. I have made more phone calls and knocked on more doors this election cycle. The stakes are just that high. We are FINALLY moving forward, it is not a time to go backwards...

UAW leaders to Romney: End misleading ads

This is for the Delphi folks, I think I know where your pensions went, Willard Swiss bank account!! lol You folks were ignorant then and are ignorant now. That is a FACT!
WASHINGTON – A coalition of community, labor and good government organizations is calling on the U.S. Office of Government Ethics to investigate presidential candidate Mitt Romney for noncompliance with the Ethics in Government Act and compel him to either disclose his investments or divest them.
The Nation recently reported that the Romney family personally profited by at least $15.3 million from the auto loans of 2009 through his investment in the Delphi Corp. auto parts company. Yet Romney's June 1, 2012, Public Financial Disclosure Report to the Office of Government Ethics did not reveal this windfall because he did not disclose the underlying holdings of his private equity and limited partnership funds.

Teamsters, Allied Waste remain at an impasse

$43,000 is not a great wage. Why are employers not subject to pensions any more? Why do the Tea Baggers want folks to work till they are 72 with no pension, no healthcare (some worthless voucher) and a 401K that is subject to outside forces. No more security, no more dignity, no more anything. For thousands of years men women and children were abused in deplorable working conditions. It is only in the last 70 years or so that workers gained some rights, dignity, and shame on the bloggers that think that we should go back 100 years and further to the life of working poor, slaves, no woman's rights, children s rights. Folks, If Romney get elected, that's where we are headed.

Romney ads draw fire from automakers

delphi salary folks would rater see 100,000 folks pensions go in the toilet than the few that did. In fact only 20% of delphi folks lost anything, and the ones that did were making more on retirement that a top paid UAW worker.Mitt made MILLIONS off of you and now you support him. What a joke. Sherrod Brown has been fighting for you, introduced legislation to get you paid and you fools will vote for the tea party puppet mandell. can you say IGNORANT. Thats what you are, ignorant fools.

Cruze No. 1 in US in sales of small cars

Great job GM/UAW. I know you folks have been working together and it really shows.
As for the over thinker, FYI, the Cruze fleet sales have remained in check. Please compare to Toyoda, Ford and Honda, all have higher fleet sales of their compacts. Also there is very little incentives on the Cruze. This will protect the consumer during re-sale. In fact the Cruze has the highest re-sale value in that segment, this is the reason I bought one, and it is the best car I ever owned, and I owned lots of cars, not all GM.
