We all know what went on here, Chuckie. Don't insult the intelligence of the public. You knew exactly what you were doing when you handed Kitchen an envelope with $4000.00 cash. You were caught off guard that Kitchen reported your illegal contribution, evidenced by your ridiculous comments to Skolnick. Was the money payment for future consideration when you assumed that Kitchen would win the general election? Maybe return as Water Commissioner, where you made big money, and could never be found in city hall? I sure hope that law enforcement officials will see through your lies and prosecute and remove you from the public arena. You have been a huge part of the public corruption problem in the city for years, and it's time law enforcement takes you down.

We now know that the 2 top elected officials of Youngstown City Hall (McNally & Sammarone) reek of political corruption. The BCI Investigators working on behalf of Mike DeWine's Political Corruption Office seized McNally's campaign finance reports from the Board of Elections in the last 45 days, and have been out in the community knocking on donors doors to question them about their contributions. Then there is Chuck "I don't remember" Sammarone, who was implicated in the sexual harrassment case of Kitchen, and now he can't remember giving $4000 cash to Kitchen. Mix in a selfish and dysfuntional city council that refuses to cut and redistrict the city wards and we wonder why the city is on its deathbed. I would urge the good people of the city to continue to flee to the suburbs, as the city officials are hell bent on destroying what's left of a once proud community.

What's up with Chuck Sammarone? This inept "public servant" should be removed from office and prosecuted for an illegal campaign contribution. Theses guys do as they please and are never held accountable for their actions. And to think that he will be mayor again when McNally is indicted and convicted of public corruption!

Hagan is showing his true character, which is he's liar and a con man. He never had any intention of withdrawing, and author/Sam makes a great point that Betras slams Engler for not withdrawing, but not a negative word about Hagan. Engler may have the last laugh, as he is pursuing/filing an ethics violation with ths OSC against Betras for inducing Jeff Limbian not to file to run for judge against Sweeney, a republican. According to Engler, he believes Betras violated Ohio's bribery statue getting Limbian out and Sweeney benefited financially from the action Betras took.

@listener - Will Holly Hanni be in charge of the petitions for the former Democrat, now an Independent? I sure hope so! She's an incompetent lawyer, and now appears to be an incompetent political powerbroker!

I see Holly Hanni is up to no good again! The Board of Elections and the Ohio Supreme Court should investigate her actions. Sounds like she had a hand in illegal activity again!

As legal counsel, doesn't Atty. Chris Sammarone have a duty and responsiblity to protect the tax paying public? Why would he not expedite the the investigation and resolve the matter as soon as possible, as opposed to sitting back and waiting for someone else to do the job. IT appears Chuck isn't the only Sammarone that enjoys wasting tax payers money!!!

Sounds like Mr. Duck's attorney is negotiating a nice exit settlement. Another abuse of the taxpayers money, and the commissioners want the taxpayers to approve a new income tax levy this November. Good luck with that!

Saw Belinky on the news commenting about filing for re-election and "all hell broke loose". Is he implying that was the reason for law enforcement raiding his home and office? Since Mark isn't being truthful with the voters, let's look at the reason. Mark agreed to enter into a plea agreement and has repeatedly jerked his attorney and prosecutors off over the last several months. After much delay, he was given a deadline to tender his plea. The deadline passed, so the investigators decided to serve the warrants and collect evidence needed to present to a grand jury for an indictment(s) against him. Why anybody who would waste their vote on this crook is beyond me.
