If he has offered to take out the piercings and they still won't let him attend, then it sounds like discrimination against him. As her guardian, he has the right to make sure that she is in a safe enviornment. I say if he threatens to sue, they will probably lighten up, esp. since she only has a little over a semester left. At my son's high school, piercings are allowed, but you can't dye your hair purple or green, etc. I think that the schools should focus more on what the kids are learning rather than what they are wearing. If a kid does do something a little out-there, the novelty wears off rather quickly. It's not as distracting as the school leads you to believe. The only ones distracted by this kind of stuff are close minded individuals that I don't want teaching my kids anyway.
