Never has Ohio had a political candidate who lies as much as Josh Mandel. The guy is constantly called out but he insists he'll keep lying till the end.
And the alternative to Sherrod Brown is whom, empty suit ex-McDonald's counter boy Josh Mandel? Give me a break.
Auto workers in Ohio are crediting Sen. Brown with saving their jobs and 800,000 auto industry related jobs due to his support of the government loans.
Mandel and all the other teabaggers who currently run this state were against the loan. But they sure don't mind taking credit for the jobs.
What an embarrassment Mandel is. We have, however, learned our lesson. Consequently, Mandel won't be serving in the U.S. senate next year. And in three years he'll be back to supersizing your fries at his old work place.
UneducatedDrone lives up to his name. All the crimes he references happened in Youngstown where the YPD is the law enforcement agency, not the Sheriff's Dept.
How soon we forget. Just four years ago Ohio voters cleaned house of the Republicans responsible for the "culture of corruption," that reached all the way to the Governor's office. Republican Bob Taft is still the only Ohio Governor ever charged with a crime while in office.
Then there was Tom Noe, Ohio's super-Republican fundraiser. The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) invested hundreds of millions of dollars in high-risk investments run by Ohio Republicans who had made large campaign contributions to many Republican party officials. Millions were lost and Noe went to prison.
Now these crooks want you to forget and put them back in office. John Kasich, who worked for Lehman Brothers, the firm that brought on this job-killing recession after filing the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history, was handsomely rewarded with millions of dollars, although he refuses to tell us how much he made.
And then there's Rob Portman who served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget in the job-killing administration of George W. Bush. On their watch, banks and investment firms were given free reign to gut the American economy.
So these guys, who are responsible for the loss of millions of American jobs, including more than 400,000 in Ohio, want you to forgive and forget and put them back in charge.
Working conditions in U.S. factories in the 1800s and 1900s were deplorable. Workers were forced to work long hours under unhealthy conditions for low pay.
Since the government didn't regulate work conditions, labor unions were formed to protect the people. Then, as now, the only ones who opposed the unions were the owners and operators of these factories, i.e. fat cat Republicans.
Once they realize the benefits of belonging to a union, most workers choose to remain members, even though they know where union political contributions are going.
On the other hand, Chamber of Commerce members are unaware that their money is funding an attack by the right on most of our elected officials.
And who was the president who said "... the folks who knocked down these towers will hear from all of us..." then went and invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11?
Bless Bush and all his month-long vacations. They kept us safe.
Ahh I miss the days like 2001 when Bush took the entire month of August off after blowing off the report he received that a terrorist plot using planes aginst NYC buildings had been discovered.
