Witnesses say the officer was standing in the middle of the parking lot when a green car drove by.
"At one point or another, we believe the car and the officer had contact," Chief Jimmy Hughes said.
and listen to the ACTUAL dispatch call. Officer chance himself says the driver TRIED to hit him. Never does he say he was hit.
And i happen to personally know one of the nurses who was with officer Chance at the hospital. They said all he had to show was a scrape on his elbow and was there only because of standard police procedures. SO how does that fit in with all the injuries the news reported he had? Where the reporters there to see it? or were they going by what fellow officers stated?
So I say to you Lifes2Short, why don't you wait and see where this investigation goes before you start decided who the criminal is. You know neither of the people involved to say who went wrong here. You are only going by what a police report says. There have been no statements from witnesses on the scene released due to the investigation, so you are going off one side of the story. So who is the fool now?

No one else finds this the least bit curious? The original report had the officer being struck by a green Grand Am. Then the story was changed to an SUV. I don't know of many people that would be thrown on to the hood of an SUV and roll off if they were struck by it. And how was the officer able to recover so quickly from the alleged hit, get up, catch up to the car, and reach in for the ignition? The story seems to fit together a little to perfectly for the officer involved. Saying that Cory lined the car up and struck him.... I don't know about you but if i was able to asses that the driver lined me up and was coming for me, I would also think to get out of the way. And how is it that the driver was shot in the back if the officer was reaching in through the driver window? The call from the officer to dispatch said the driver "tried" to hit him. but after all is said and done the report says the driver did hit the officer and he rolled up and off the hood?
