Atown, if the school causes your property values to increase, your taxes will also increase. In an area with a declining population having increased property values is good for only the tax man. This big deal school building project is a bad deal for Atown residents.
Drive around and look at all of these new schools; they are taj mahals of excess. A building does not educate students but the teacher's union is not being reigned in and the school systems are sadly lacking. The education process is not about mega-buildings and the maintenance costs of these buildings will be massive.

Do not buy into the class warfare; these folks pay far more than their fair share. The top 10% pay virtually all of the country's taxes and the bottom 47% pay zero.
