Karma,

I would be more worried about how your tax dollars are being spent and how this is how our federal and state govt. choses to focus their time and energy. I hope that you feel safer now that the auto dealer is shut down instead of murders being solved, drugs taken off the street. You get the idea but hey, you have to live there, not me. Think before you speak.

Owner of Fat Man’s Auto Sales faces corrupt activity charge

You would think that Boardman police department and the other agencies would have other worries trying to keep the streets safer for the taxpayers than going after a business owner who kept titles to cars that the buyer could not pay in full. I sure hope that a killer, rapist or bank robber did not get away because these agencies had light workloads. As a taxpayer, this story makes me sick! I am not quite sure why this is a "scam" that Mr. Mrosko kept the title. The fact the buyer used fictitious or fraudulent plates should not be his responsibility. If a buyer defaults, is the seller not entitled to be able to reposses the property and resell it? The buyer was not forced to buy under those conditions.

Using words like “engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and racketeering” appears to be the enforcement agencies way of trying to make a case which would compare to a New York or Chicago case from the 70s. I hope that Mr. Mrosko has the funds to hire competent legal counsel and not only beats these absurd charges but then goes after the city of Boardman and their fine police department.
