My appologies I overlooked a couple of parts of the article and I am truly sorry. Maybe it was the old synical part of me coming back out. I don't know!!!
When i was in school way back when all a girl needed when she was sixteen was for her parent's or guardian's signature and poof she could get married. That usually only happened when the girl ended up pregnant and the man/boy was doing the "right thing". But usually the girl and man/boy had to quit school. As far as his being her guardian along with being her husband. He should be allowed to go to the dance with her. I personally have no problem with that. The issue i have with that ordeal is that THEY should have used common sense and removed the jewelry before going to the dance. I agree whole heartedly in dress codes. Come on people getting dressed up to go to a dance usually meant nice dress clothes..not put on your cleanest dirty t-shirt and ripped jeans and go for it. I'll admit I'm 51 years old used to have long hair, beard and have tattoo's but i still know how to get dressed up in nice clothes and such for whatever occasion is at hand. I probably have made more than one mistake in spelling and grammer in this message but after reading some of the other comments on this subject. I would like to thank all my teachers for doing their best at trying to teach me to spell and type also. Just to bad i didn't listen to them all the time!
