Obama’s statement was a slap at U.S. Christians

Sometimes so-called Christians have curious perspectives. I am not speaking of those Christians on this post who express tolerance and love, which Jesus himself practiced. I talking about all of the rest, the so-called Christians. What are your feelings about the natives who were already here? What Christian principles did the forefathers apply to them. Whatever principles they were reduced their numbers so that there are very few of them left today. An in the midst of all the verbiage from the founding fathers there were, by that time, thousands of enslaved Africans. What principles of Christianity were applied regarding their status? If they had read the Bible, Acts 10:34 could have provided the answer for them regarding the natives and the slaves. I guess they had not read that far. And finally, if they could have consulted Jesus personally (they obviously had ignored his Biblical teachings) what do you think his Christian based counsel would have been? Was and or is America a Christian nation? I'll leave you to ponder these questions.
