papa1, GM could have fixed the problem years ago with a 57 cent fix but didn't want it to become public information and sat on the problem until 13 died (what if one of those people were related to YOU, would you feel the same and try to blame the Republicans?)Oh by the way, GM was/is called Government Motors, which brings up another question---did the government know about this problem??

What a bunch of CRAP!!!!They knew about the problem under the "Old GM and also under the "New GM" and did NOTHING to correct the 57 cent problem.

Now GM wants the courts to rule that it was the "old GM" that had the problem. Didn't the problem continue in the "new GM" and was also covered up. If GM really wanted to correct the ignition problem they would have changed them to the "push button" start switches as soon as they knew they had a problem.

Rea, By your defense of the GM recall I could tell you worked for GM before you stated it!!You don't remember ALL of the publicity that Toyota had for the gas pedals?Let's review your comments:1- GM put out a "memo" that the ignition switch COULD turn off if other items were on the key chain. --WHO received this "memo" dealers or the customer?2-4 You should know being a "quality control" person that IF a ignition switch is turned off while driving, the car has NO power steering and NO power brakes. If someone is driving on a highway and the power steering quits working, do you REALLY believe that the FIRST thing a person is going to do is apply the emergency brake??? Wouldn't you try to apply the normal brake and try to turn the car off of the road? With no power steering it would be harder to turn the wheels then cars, years ago, with out power steering.5- So it's the dead people's fault for not knowing how to drive a car that failed them?

How were the 40 people selected and who selected them??? Why didn't ALL 300 people get a form to fill out and return???I'm not sure what is going on at the MCDD but maybe they (board members) all should be replaced. Why is Righetti the only commissioner responding (election time) at this time --haven't they all been aware what has been going for all these months?

IF these gay people know that Ohio doesn't allow gay marriage then WHY would you want to move here ---stay in your gay state!!!If they come to Ohio and want to be considered "married" they should NOT be able to get ANY benefits for married couples

Over ten years of cover up and NOTHING will be done. Treat GM the same as the government treated Toyota, fine the crap out of them ---Oh, they can't do that, they'll go bankrupt again!!!

Wonder how much GM will have to pay for all of the accidents/deaths and cover up for their cars (or since it is (was) government owned --NOTHING)
