Campbell ex-mayor tries to lure fuel plant

DevynBellamySr, I am NOT george krinos. I don't care what he told you. This is not his screen name, but now I see why you're so bitter.

I never defended his lies or ANY of his actions for that matter. I'm only hoping against hope that this company comes into campbell, and the only reason why I can see it wouldn't is if dill and vansuch put a monkey wrench in the deal.

Okay, MichaelG93, I know where you're coming from, but you know that he's not financing this company personally. His firm is financing it.

I don't know if his bike was repo'd or not,but that's beside the point. For the sake of argument let's say you're right. He could be broke, but that doesn't say his firm is broke. If this company doesn't come in, you better look at this administration. There is no way in hell jack dill or vansuch wants to see george krinos succeed. They will lie through their teeth to try to make themselves look good. And that's all because they hate george krinos and don't really care about this city.

All I ask is that you be open minded and check it out before believing everything they say.

Regardless of what george krinos has done in the past, no matter how recent or long ago, it doesn't negate the fact that he's doing something for the city now. I would have to ask anyone who still supports the current administration what flavor of kool-aid they're drinking!

This newspaper article is definitely negative. Why doesn't it mention that the current administration fired the finance director for the same reason as krinos? Why doesn't it mention that krinos rehired the firefighter (that dill laid off) in an attempt to bring down the insurance rates? He also hired 10 part time firefighters for the same reason. They gave him a hard time about that too. If he drank, it's no wonder. What does this crap have to do with his firm financing business in campbell?

Stick to the issue. The city finally has a good shot at getting a viable business. End of story.

Well, johnyoung, I watched that footage and still don't see anything wrong with the company asking for a tax abatement.

If vansuch had a brain, he wouldn't say half the crap he says. He didn't know anything about this venture because he's not even looking to bring in business to campbell. Let's face it, lol, he doesn't even know how. He depends solely on jack dill who could care less about the city.

How could you be mayor for 10 years and city admin for 2, and only bring in a dollar store?! Then, for vansuch to admit that city council didn't even pay attention to krinos when it came to bringing in Estech, who would create electricity from waste, was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Don't forget vansuch was council president at the time.

It's about time someone is doing something for this town. What stinks is not who is involved in bringing money back into this God forsaken city, but who is trying to stop it! If this desperate city ignores this opportunity once again, it's the mayor and jack dill that needs to go!

Campbell mayor pleads innocent to drunken driving

@ The Word

I bet you never thought you would read about me writing something negative about the Mayor, well here goes......

I do believe that there were some back hand dealings going on with Bryan and the Mayor for his son to get a job on the force. From what I see if they allow the civil service test his son is in line to get the job as a full time officer. True or not I dont know but I disagree with this move from the Mayor, it looks fishy to me. Thats the only negative remark I will make. Im not saying the Mayor is corrupt but it sure looks like he had to do this to get on the small good side of Bryan. This just goes to show you that it looks like council and yes even Bryan is out for themselves and their family when it comes to the city.

He also said he is thank full for all his supporters and as you guys call them the "Kool-Aid drinker" but in this matter he feels that he messed up, and he is extremely sorry. He intends to apologize to the citizens of Campbell and he stated he will be doing so on a personal and individual basis as he sees us.

Campbell mayor pleads innocent to drunken driving

@ everyone who commented

I will not defend him nor do I agree with drinking and driving I believe he was wroung in this matter.

I spoke with the Mayor on saturday afternoon, he stated the law is the law, he intends to not fight this matter and would like to just take his punishment and move on by focusing on the city.

The only reason a "not guilty plea" was made is because his attorney recommended it and his attorney wanted time to speak with him. The Mayor openly admitts to having 2 Martinis, does not deny it nor will, he was truely shocked that he would have been over which is why he said let this be a lesson. He has said he did not think the amount of liquor in the martinis would have put him over the limit. His mistake.........

He has no excuse and he said he is only sorry for the negative light this is shedding on Campbell because this was his own actions and was not anything related to the city business.

Last I feel if all of you cared about the light this is shedding on Campbell we should make our comments to the Mayor at his town hall meeting. Now I also feel that he should not have created this problem and so does he. Lets not air our laundry anymore on the blogs. We need to stop this and we do need to stay off the blogs. Again my personal feeling.... we have enought publicity with out us the citizens making it worse.

@MichaelG93 and anyone else.

First have have not commented becuase we all know we have our difference of opinions, I was trying to stay off so we didnt turn this into an argument that put us on the front of vindy.com top blogs or most commented list. However we are already there so what the heck.

Second I was not on vacation which tells me you assume I am his secretary. I have said time and time again. I am not who you keep saying I am. Please come to that realization.
