Cash mob next Saturday at thrift shop to help animals

I think this is a great idea, I saw this on the national news about another area doing it and thought maybe we could get back to helping our neighbors..We need to save the " Little man" as Alan Jackson so greatly states it in his song.

Concert set to raise funds for cystic-fibrosis research

I just want to say Thank you to whom ever is setting this concert up. I have a son who is now 26 and also has CF, I thank you for continuing the work of funding for a cure or for patient care, it is greatly needed now that these young people are living longer and longer lives and the govt doesnt want to help adults with genetic disorders or preexisting illness. Im sorry for the loss of Niki, God Bless her and your families...

UPDATED: Two arrested after early-morning shooting near YSU

First I want to say How sad I am for the family of the young man shot to death. I pray that they find comfort in his life and the memories they have. Second I am sick of everyone always putting down the Suburbs, Crime happens everywhere and just because we live in the suburbs it doesnt make us better, we are just trying to get better educations for our children, better housing for our families and why should we be put down for that. I love the city of Youngstown and I dont fear walking around downtown, I have more fear walking around Boardman Walmart and its parking lots. No place is safe, this was a group of young people having a party on a Saturday night, it goes on in every city and every college, this should not happen no matter where it was located, So city or suburb lets remember the real issue, this young man lost his life and it was senseless

Two Mooney teens’ bodies found at cemetery

My heartfelt condolences go out to the Serich family, I know both parents from growing up in Struthers, good people. I am so deeply saddened by this. Also to the Hart family I know that young man was so loved and wanted by his family, I remember the day they adopted him and brought him home to Boardman. Please keep both families in your prayers and I pray that those two young men found peace that they could not find here. Suicide is something that no one will ever understand,or make any sense of....May two more stars shine in the heavens tonight.

An Idora Revival

Family members of mine use to own the Party Pantry many years ago, it use to be such a nice family business, then they got robbed many times and threatened with having their brains blown out so they sold it, they both are gone now but I have wonderful memories of helping out there when I was a young girl. We use to go to Idora Park from open to close in the summer and never worried about any trouble, boy those were the days, I hope they bring that neighborhood back, there are so many beautiful homes in that area...Good Luck to all of you who are taking action and not just complaining about what is wrong....God Bless

Fresh eyes

I wish them luck with their film and pray that we can get out of the depressed state we're in.. Not only is the city in a depression the people are depressed and sad. First off we cant reelect a felon in Jim Traficant to any position or we will always remain a laughing stock and never move forward...Lets work together and get the movie made, Youngstown: A Success Story. Steel will always be our past but we have to reinvent our future. Lets call it Green Valley or Tech Valley.
