Randy Fellows has 1. accepted responsibility for his part in John Utlak's death 2. apologized to the family in open court back in 1982 and has done so at every opportunity since then and 3. has shown remorse from the very beginning - even before he went on trial.
I have know Randy for over 12 years. We have exchanged hundreds of letters, done genealogy research together and my wife and I visit him on a monthly basis. He is the least institutionalized long term inmate I know of. He is self educated and knowledgeable. We are friends because of shared interests, shared values and mutual respect. Actually, he's one of the most decent people I know.
