Considering the way the population votes, and who they vote for, I now understand the reason the Founding Fathers though only land owners should vote. In our modern times, I'm beginning to think that there should be some type of IQ test in order to vote. You know, the basic stuff like, how many states there are, or what two bodies comprise the Congress, or can you correectly identify NY, LA, and Chicago on a map, or do you know the Pledge of Allegiance, or the really hard one...how many commandments make up the 10 Commandments. If the morons get a 75% they can vote. I'm sorry to say, that about 60%, or the same percentage that voted for Obama/Marxist administration wouldn't pass.

The whole septic replacement program going on in Trumbull County is suspect in my opinion and should be investigated by the N. Ohio organized crime task force. They claim 85% of the systems inspected fail. Yea right. Only a few contractors are approved as installers. Yea right. Open up the bidding to licensed contractors, have them follow the EPA approved plan, inspect their work, and be done. Who's bother in law or relative works for or owns these very limited "approved" installers. With Trumbull County's track record, this program stinks.

Largely through policies initiated by Democrat Congresses in an effort to pander to the uneducated we've created a nation of whiners and an underclass population that has been convinced that they are "owed" something from the rest of us. When nearly 50% of the people pay NO income taxes, they just vote for more "stuff" because they don't suffer the consequences of paying for the "stuff". Now we have a President and Congress who believes that people who are at the lower echelons of society are "entited" to your "stuff". I grew up in the 50s, went to college in the 60s and you worked and saved for your "stuff". You got ahead by hard work, education, conservative savings, ethical and moral behavior. That's not the case it seems anymore. I will totally resist these policies fight this President to the maximum ability, and do everything possible to get rid of these Marxists at every election. This included the local politicians who have the same mentality such as the tax sucking school boards, the numerous charities always looking for handouts or trying to get money through passage of county levies, etc. Enough is enough. Charity begins at home, and necessity is the mother of invention. Throw the bums out!

Oops. After reading the title of the article, I thought it was about the Obama administration and Congress.

First, health care is NOT a moral issue. That's a figment of your imagination and a talking point of the DNC. Second, access to affordable health care is needed, portability of plans, competition across state lines, pre-existing conditions problems, and TORT REFORM, all need to be fixed and/or improved. The method and deception used by this administration to ram this plan through Congress is pathetic. By their own admission, the Congressional Budget Office, and the latest footnotes on page 3 of the Senate Bill only further illustrates the hugh financial problems with this proposal. The public is being played for suckers, and the fantasy story the Obama pulled off on everyone last November about no additonal taxes is again.....just another lie from the empty suit.

V&M didn't go through any exercise. This was exercises done by the petty politics of Y'town and Girard. Why would they locate here when they can locate somewhere where there are no unions to hassle with. Birmingham, Alabama is the Pittsburgh of the south. No unions, better weather, close to the Florida and Gulf beaches, a steel trained workforce, no major union/mafia stupidity factor, much less political corruption, etc.

PUCO knew and approved it. They are morons and claimed they didn't know about folks being charged for them.

Get a grip people. If this Socialist idea happens, don't pay for them. Short your electric bill $.60 every month. If they bill you a late charge, don't pay it. Get some backbone. I've already written the parent company, Dominion Resources in Richmond (I've been a stockholder for 20 years) and told them to fire the idiots that came up with this moronic program. Do the same to the OHIO PUCO and your representatives. The law is that if you get unsolicited stuff in the mail or on your door, you don't have to pay for it. PERIOD.

There is precedence in the Postal System. If you get something in your mail box that you didn't order, you don't have to pay and it is considered a gift. This recently happened to me and the info. that accompanied the product stated so in the very fine print. Of course the larger print asked you to send in $12.95. Sorry, they loose. This little First Energy programs is all too much like socialism. They force you to take something you don't want or need, and then make you pay for it in the guise of changing personal behavior. Van Jones must have been in contact with someone at First Energy. I've already called First Energy's media office and complained and also emailed the investor's services web site at their parent company, Dominion Energy in Richmond, VA. I've been a stockholder in the company since 1987 and this policy is stupid. I informed them I would not pay their $.60 per month, nor would I pay a late fee on my bill if I didn't pay it. The next step should be a class action lawsuit. There seems to be no shortage of ambulance chasing attorney's in the Y'town area, like Betras and company, Girvellis, and all the rest. Maybe they'd like to do some pro-bono work on behalf of the residents of NE Ohio.
