I love the Playhouse! Scrooge The Musical is playing there now. Its awesome! I know its seen some really tough times, but I believe the leadership that it has now will benefit the community and the talented artists we have in this area. Prayers are the only thing besides a little talent that has kept these doors open. Thank God!
Its always been bleaker here than other cities. Help with an electric bill and having a homeless shelter is help that comes too late. It all has to do with jobs, jobs, jobs or you must leave, leave, leave!
A Light In The Darkness ( a play based on her book The Promise) is playing at the Victorian. Dont miss it! Eva speaks after every performance till Sunday night. www.alightinthedarkness.net
What I think of "anti bullying" policy in our schools.
> >Since leaving school most people have never seen any kid beaten up, or been threatened with it.. Schools treat children like animals, and so they act like animals. > >No other business, or organization (besides a prison) has as many incidents of violence per day. Would you work somewhere where roving gangs of co-workers would come by and steal your lunch? When was the last time anyone was cornered in the hall on the way to a business meeting and kicked in the crotch by a guy from Marketing? > > > >Schools allow violence to continue by using words like "bullying" instead of what it really is "harassment" or "assault". They have no idea how to control or engage the kids in their care, so they rely on a hierarchy of bullying to do it for them. > > > >Let's be honest, if our kids were getting beaten or "bullied" at home, the school would waste no time at all calling Children Services on you and have them removed from the home.
