I find it interesting that a culture that avoids swine like no body's business could have an outbreak of swine flu. Are there even any pigs around to transfer to a human?
Having the government play God is a double edged sword. I don't see how it's any different with the ACA playing God and giving the government power over life and death and, having the government determine that a group of cells in your body is life. Either way, I wouldn't want somebody in the government telling me.
Benghazi is nothing about nothing. it's people wishing and hoping on the backs of dead people to make political hay about a politically unstable place that nobody is capable of micromanaging. As a nonwhite Chrisitan republican, I'm befuddled as to how there's so much hate. I'm not a fan of Obama or most of his tactics but, I'm not going out claiming that people that didn't vote for Romney are cheats, leeches, slugs, thugs, and godless Socialists. The GOP, being full of businessmen and salesmen, FAILED at selling it's message. I wouldn't buy a car from someone yelling at me that i'm scum. so...
More disturbing is the allegation that an employee was required to stay in back even though race preference is not a job requirement. I realize that the area has had some issues in race relations but, that's like 1950s segregation.
I've never understood the logic of settling a case in which you profess your innocence. If their goal was to contain it to one or two lawsuits, they failed.
Abortion is legal but, not necessarily right, Warrantless wiretaps are legal but, not necessarily right, Drone attacks, usury loan rates. So on and so forth The real question that needs to be asked is: How is it that the people who are "taxed enough already" can afford to pump nearly a billion dollars into this election cycle?
They should also try consolidating government administration and the safety services administration. If it can work for businesses that merge and trim the fat, it can work for the schools Really, How different can the school districts needs be when most of them have a basic set of state requirements anyhow?
I think the the housing market is permanently hosed and not too many people will be able to purchase homes in the future. I also believe that all major and minor cities have a shot to gains citizens. This can ONLY happen if crime is severely curtailed and kept in check the rest will deal with itself. gentrification has an awesome way of pushing out the undesirable element in a neighborhood.
I don't see Mr. Houser collecting millions of dollars from the state. There was enough evidence to bind him over for trial. It wasn't as if they pulled his name out of thin air and arrested him.
