Why would anyone vote for a gambling casino in another town. All you are doing in supplying Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, and Cincinnati money to pay their land taxes.
I have yet to hear what the governor is going to do with this money beside line his pockets.
I will not vote for it for a reason.
I used to work in Youngstown. I got let go by a company on the west side.
I qualified for unemployment, but got denied because the state said I did not make enough a week.
Anything this state government tries to shove down peoples throats I am against.
Have you been on Mahoning Ave lately? Or Meridian Road North from Mahoning. NO! Buy a tank and try them. There's not a street in Youngstown that does not need surfaced. Now I wonder where all that city income tax money I pay out every year goes?
Before the state decides to try and improve the traffic flow on 224, it should repave 680 from all the way from one end to the other. I know part of it is in Youngstown proper, but the administration in Youngstown will never spend the money to help fix 680. They won't fix their own streets.
Not everyone loves the parade
Dear Mrs. Porterfield:
You are right on the button. People in Boardman are rude. I live in Boardman and these people out here are the rudest people in the world.
Do not try to cross Market or 224, they will on purpose try to hit you.
I quit going to the parade out here. I do not even go to the Canfield fair because of their attitudes.
We have a neighbor who is in a Pittsburgh hospital due to being hit by a driver on a Cell Phone.

Youngstown Mayor: Violence must not define us
First off, the problem with Youngstown is that you have an African-American mayor and police chief.
They turn their backs on crime in the city. Thier more concerned about what happens with YSU than anything that goes on in the city.
As for MS Hobbs complaining sbout a grocery store, GROW UP. You knew what you were getting into when you went into public housing,
I lived in a Senior high-rise downtown on wood street. Believe me YMHA only cares about one thing, MONEY.

There is no reason to raise gas prices. The oil companies have protections and their insurance companies cover for damages,
This is just another way for managers at gas stations to get richer.

Federal program buys cell phones for the poor
This is Bull. I called the 800 number for this and I got some one in Brazil.
By the time you go through the paper work, it is a month before you get your phone.
Then you only get 50 minutes a month.
Just another waste of American jobs going to another county.

Ohio Powerball winner claims prize
Good for him. He played it smart. He got a lawyer. Hid his identity.
Every non-profit agency in the state will be bugging him about money.

Woman arraigned in robbery of neighbor
This woman will walk away with probation and do it again to some one else.
This is Paul Gains' system. That is why crime is on the rise in this county.

Agency’s move to Niles irks Williams
I am glad to hear that the Area on Aging is moving out of Youngstown.
At least they will not pay for the city"s over priced Income Tax!!
Not willl the workers or clients have to pay for over priced parking lots downtown!
More companies and bars need to move out.
