Look I know 99% of the facts in this situation. I know both families pretty well. Neither is innocent and all contributed to events that led to the tragedy. Richard was a well known drug addict and dealer. The police let him off for one reason or another. How can anyone say he was a good person when he tried to kill his own daughter? Ask for the Kidd family they are also not innocent. The daughter Kourtney was a major factor in what happened. She has had a major drug problem for years and no one wanted to do anything about it. The courts never made her pay for any of her mistakes. She recently was in and out of rehabs and the courts wouldn't make her stay. Everyone that knows the family knows that she stole from everyone including Richard. Her family kept bailing her out of her problems and look what happened. Everything resulted from the lives that Kourtney and Richard chose to live. The things that drugs make you do and the type of people they involve you with are no joke. Yes he came to the house looking for money but it wasn't money that Gerry owed him it was money Kourtney stole from him. It is a tragedy that such a wonderful man had to lose his life becasue of his daughters choices. She will now have to live her life knowing that she is the reason this happened. As for Richard the obituary they posted for him is complete bull. He was not a good man at all. Like i said he was a drug dealer, a drug addict, a woman abuser and an all around horrible person. I'm not part of his family so maybe they know him in a different way but I have known him for a while and he was a monster. All I can say is that people need to come back to reality and really think about things. This wasn't random it was a direct result of the choices everyone involved made. It is horrible that a young boy lost his grandfather and almost lost his dad but people need to realize that this is what happens when you live your life the way all of them did. No one talks about the families and they want to overlook everything until a tragedy happens and then all of a sudden they were wonderful people. The real world doesn't work that way. Everyone involved was responsible in their own little way. So i think people need to look past the clouds of the tragedy and see what's really going on here. My thoughts go to the little boy because he is the only innocent one in this situation.
