Sounds like the number of "CAFETERIA CATHOLICS" is growing.... Someone stated that 95% of people in Y-town are Catholic...That was probably once true. No way today... If so, why did THREE churches just merge into one effective today?
I agree that there has always been a high number of Catholics in the area...but it seems the numbers have diminished due to the thousands of drug infested criminals and their offsprings over the last three decades...
All the way from Florida, I cannot believe this is the most commented story.....Good, bad, right or wrong, is this ALL that is going on in Youngstown?
Yes, the parents were wrong, IF they supplied the cigars and alcohol...but my guess is the kids got it themselves. Don' fool yourselves, this is not an enviornment like "Little House on the Prarie". We all got this stuff well before we were legal...They got caught! Take the medicine and move on!!
Isn't there more going on in Y-town to report on? Or, is Vindy being selective on what is being posted....
Well, here are a few points: 1. The "parents" probably did not buy it. When I went to Mooney we got into bars and had a "charge" account for beer at good old "Hulios" behind South Stadium. The kids smuggled it in..Accessability has not changed.I would be more inclined to blame the coaches in the lockeroom who had to see it all..
2. As a Mooney grad, these whole cigar and drinking incidents are a disgrace. We used to rent a hall or crash a house to party after the game. Bringing this on property is not cool. I hope the Bishop comes down hard on the coaches and leaders involved.
3. UHS still sucks. That will never change
4. At least is was not crack they were smokin" (lol).
1. Coach Bucci (had as a math teacher and he has an ego, but Mooney on the map)
2. Pellini: Nebraska Head Coach 3. Stoops brothers: Oklahoma, Arizona and FSU Coaches 4. Ron Stoops Senior: God rest his soul. He coahed my father and Jim Traficant. 5. Boom Boom Mancini
Stan: Run for Mayor
Mooney has been beating Ohio powerhouse schools such as Moller, Ignatius, St. Vincent for years. Hell, I even remenber traveling to the Silverdome in 1981 or 1982 to watch us beat Michigan powerhoise Detroit Brother Rice.
Playing against girls or small schools? Get your facts straight.
CARDS WIN: I am like you...I have a six figure salary because my parents worked hard enough to get me through private school. The rest I worked hard on...I teach my kids the same blue collar, hard working values to make it to the white collar profession.
Again, from Florida: WE ARE...MOONEY. The elder generation in Y-Town is what made our city once a great place to live. The last two generations speak for themselves....
I hope I am alive to see our home regenerate into the great place it once was...
Bishop Murry’s letter appalling

Ohio abortion-ban backers continue lobbying push
You too are idiots...What if you were sucked out of the womb and killed?
People like you are is what is wrong with Youngstown. You are NO BETTER than the drug dealers controlling the city.
May God find mercy on your souls. Hopefully you will not be "taken out" by a needle or coat hanger...

UPDATE: State bans injection wells within 5 miles of Youngstown site
Maybe the next quake will suck the south side into the ground, except for the churches. that way we can start over....
