Pastor’s home hit by gunfire

Glad the family is ok...I saw the headline and immediately thought someone had it coming to them, probably messing around with someone's wife or kid. I know Rev. Macklin and he has always been an upstanding man and a pillar in our community unlike some of the pastors/pedophiles in the Baptist churches around town. Crime in the streets of town is totally out of control, but crime within our churches should not be tolerated either. Shout out to JBC, you're doing a fine job of protecting the criminals while the victims continue to suffer and be persecuted...shame on you!

Ex-pastor pleads to assault, gets no jail time

This guy is a creep as is most sexual predators. Some use physical force, others christian coercion, and even others simple mind games. They prey on the weak and down-trodden. Many will be in their pulpits on Sunday preaching "a word from God" and many of us will support him with their "Amen" and offerings, knowing they're just not right. These people keep their position because the church makes them a god of sorts and who would ever want to insult God? If they saw the act in person, they wouldn't believe it...shame on the church! Do something when there are allegations...follow up. Stop pushing issues under the rug!
