A Vallourec Star subsidiary is considering an $81.5 million investment in Youngstown

So if Bob "I'm fighting for you" Hagan had his way there would be no V&M cause there would be no fracking. And as far as them only staying 15 years and leaving really? They have already spent a billion dollars on the north side of Youngstown, they are paying comparable wages to the General Motors plant . Ask any skilled tradesman or laborer if they should expand. Better yet wait for Tim Ryan and Bob hagan bring home some jobs...some crack me up!

Youngstown councilwoman to run for the Ohio House

I think Janet would do a wonderful job as our next state rep. Hagans wife must in some way feel entitled to the seat because her husband has held it for so long. The good news is this is a representative republic. Some may feel its a monarchy but the hagans are not royality and dont own our seat in the statehouse. Bob may be the "protester " in cheif but we don't need another do nothing fighting for us. Good luck Janet.....I want a sign for the yard.

Two taken into custody minutes after West Side robbery

Don't normally go with the " rough, abusive " childhood excuse but I have known Chuckie since he was a kid. With his upbringing he didn't have much of a chance.

Youngstown homeowner shoots suspected burglar

Thinking mabe there is a problem with the glock so she gave up the .380. Either be the case she should not be charged if that's the whole story.

Youngstown Sgt. Touville accepts 3-day suspension over Sciortino stop

Earlier article said how much the city was paying as severance to a policeman who was fired. So they are taking 24 hour of A.T. Time as punishment? I wonder how long before T. j gets commander position back. Just sayen...

Hagan, Foley: Pro-life gun bill appropriate in wake of anti-abortion proposals

Bob hagan has clearly lost it. With all the issues he could be focusing on he chooses this one. Please when your current term ends save us all and go away!

Bishop Murry decides against moving Mooney to the 'burbs

For whatever reason I think the decision of the bishop was misguided. My son graduated from mooney in 2012. Though we live in the city paid every dime of tuition because he never attended city school. The area around the school is deplorable. With no way to improve the situation it would have been better to start fresh in a new location. Ursuline has the benefit of ysu cleaning up the area around their campus as they are now nearly connected to the university. It must have come down to money because no one save for the city tax coffers would agree renovating is the best course. Seems a little strange the board would vote to move and then have the bishop nix the idea. Normally wouldn't it be worked out with the decesion maker before the vote as not to look like there is conflict ?

Local cooperation lauded at launch of Austintown's racino

Could the vail finally be coming off the do nothing politicos that manage to keep them selves in the news and getting reelected in this valley? Now of course a certain radio talk host in the afternoon carries the water for hagan, still trying to figure why. We will not move ahead till some pay better attention whom they pull the lever for( opps telling my age) fill in the oval for. When the image of your representative protesting is the only one you remember....change your rep.

Local cooperation lauded at launch of Austintown's racino

We're? Bob hagan taking credit for the racino? I think he was protesting ( fill in the blank) when the real work was being done to land this facility. Thanks to all who did land this huge asset for the valley. As an aside heard bob on radio yesterday talking up how "we" found the shale gas and oil. Ha doesn't he know he is on record for being totally against it and protesting the fracking of the wells....jeeezzz bob please.
