@jquan This well was drilled almost 30 years ago. It is a conventional well and has nothing to do with shale drilling or hydraulic fracking.
Too many people are quick to become part of the "since they've began drilling for resources in this area" club and the "technology has major faults" clubs. Hogwash!

Where are all of the people in the Valley complaining about those greedy corporate giants paying out hundreds of millions in bonuses now?
I seem to remember that it was "wrong" for JP Morgan Chase or Citibank to pay a bonus out to employees even a year or two ago even after they got the bail out and paid it all back plus interest.
Government Motors still owes us taxpayers millions and they are paying out bonuses. Where are all the liberals to cry that we impose 90% plus tax rates on bonuses like they did to JP Morgan and others? Oh, I forgot, it's okay as long as the union memberships get their share. Bankers are not in unions.
What are you all complaining about. This is all in the name of stimulus. Just think about all the low paying delivery jobs that this will create.

Sounds like Health Care. "Free" is paid for by taxpayers. In the case of the light bulbs, it's just a tarriff on your electric bill for the next three years.
In the case of health care, it is me and the rest of the working folk (and my kids and grandkids for that matter) that will be paying for it.
