All this means is that an employee is not to run after someone who is running off with store merchandise. Obviously, the employee could get hurt and the store does not want to put it's employees in danger. The police can run after people wo are stealing- that is their job. Is the store manager that dumb that they do not understand this? This person runs a store? Really? Where is HR to explain this?
