Rooster...you are correct with what you said. It took 109k to find Mr. Dunn...a good payday for the agency.
The fact of the matter is this, the YSU Board of Trustees got played, plain and simple. Why do I say this? Because the SIU current president is retiring, which tells me that is was probably a well-known fact by the insiders at SIU that he was leaving and Dunn was potentially available, even though he just started (or was going to start) at YSU. Maybe Dunn didn't know for certain when the SIU President was going to leave, but he probably had an idea it was going to be in the next year.
Take it from a recruiter...that's probably how it went down. At any rate, disappointing to see that the trustees are going to keep him on for 6 months. I would cut him loose at this point and appoint someone on an interim basis.
And for those of you are mad and think it stinks...though Dunn can leave when he wants, it's lousy nonetheless. I wonder if a little more research up front might have raised some questions if his heart was really in Carbondale, IL.

If you are so evolved, can you at least call people that you don't agree with by their correct names or at least use their initials? Show the rest of us that you have class. You can believe whatever, but when you cheapen/make fun of people's name when they aren't on your side, you instantly discredit yourself.

So by supporting Jim, you support convicted felons, correct? Valleyred, if he is elected, will your fellow Republicans accept him into their caucus? Doubt it. Also, I believe Congress can chose to not even seat Traficant, if elected.
I am a Dem, and think Ryan has done a great job. Don't waste your vote for JT, if you are going to vote, at least vote for Henderson or J. Graham on the Repub side. JT had his day, his motives now don't involve actually helping this area.
Trust me, working in Cleveland but living in T. County, the folks here laugh at JT. Don't think they aren't laughing elsewhere now that he is going to run against Ryan...AGAIN!
