Dellick accused in 2 other road-rage incidents; special prosecutor considered

my 2 cents .. i think it sounds like drugs could very well be involved causing the behavior. His mother is doing him no favors, only chance he has to get on track is a little trip to prison to open his eyes..then his mother can visit him there and maybe open her eyes too.

Poland teacher’s husband also charged in Boardman robbery

very sad situation.... drugs are destroying this country and our DOJ wants to keep drug users out of jail. Drugs are a big factor in crime, While this young lady is guilty and we will never know the truth probably, shame on her husband for putting her in this position..if you love your wife, how do you put her in this position whether she wanted to be a part of it or not.. thoughts and prayers for them both that they can change the path they are on and save themselves. It is never to late no matter what one might think. luckily no ones life was lost.

Attorney returns home

Could be early stages of dementia.. thoughts and prayers with the family. People need not be rude and accept that he was found and safe. If people did not speculate on the actions of others the world might be a better place.

School board OKs placing 5.9-mill levy on Nov. ballot

Board President said it all, " if it fails we will put it on the ballot and ask for less" these folks who spend other peoples money do not get it and they never will. Poland schools have become like a cult, you are either part of the inner cirlce run by zorn or you are not. You do as he says, or look out. THE MAN NEEDS TO LEAVE!!! Funny how he rushed through contracts with unions before SB5 went to the ballot.... poland school emplyees pay no more than a 5% premium for healthcare, their salarys have been inflated for years because of steps that people are finally catching on to and the retirement benefits are something else. I say vote no as long as zorn is there, read someting here where someone wrote if they cut this empty busing program he ran for years the district could have saved 10 million over past 12-14 years... must have been taking care of his buddies the drivers. The students and their families make poland schools excellent not the administration. VOTE NO, THEY DO NOT GET IT!!

Board OKs fees for pay to participate

I do live in poland and can tell you why I did not vote for the levy. Someone previoulsy mentioned about the administrators retirement benefits . Just simply crazy. Also, not sure if anyone noticed last year how the Superintendent and teachers union rushed through contract talks to settle on a very low 5% premium on health care benefits as the concern was SB 5 would actually make them pay 20%. Who pays 5% in this day and time? The district has been so poorly managed and now they want us to pay for it? Example being the information I got from the Vindicator on their busing of so few if any students at a cost of $600,000 per year. Simple example of a waste of money. 10 years of this is $6,000,000. Do the math on busing and insurance premiums and there is the mismanagement of the district that would have kept them from the mess they created and now want us to fix. They would not be in this position if they spent money as if it were there own,.. Will never vote for another levy until Zorn is gone. He is another example, retires and makes a full salary.

Poland schools expected to be in fiscal caution

Not related to any of them, I find the entire township building useless including the police. If there were ever a serious crime in Poland they would never solve it because they dont have a clue. Would like to throw these poland police on the city streets in youngstown.. they would hide, let them patrol the south side!! All they do is pass out speeding tickets to kids and people of color. The township is just like the schools, good ole boy system. I will not vote nor my family for one incumbent, township or schools. The reason I mention the schools is because it has been like this for 25 years no one says anything. Also, they can forget about a levy passing. People get elected to the school board and drink the zorn kool aid, nothing changes so keep voting them out.

Poland schools expected to be in fiscal caution

Well they have waisted over $1,000,000 the last 4 years bussing about 50 high school kids, Zorn is a double dipper, and if your not one of the good ole boys in Poland... dont even knock on the door. Treasurer seems like a very knowledgeable and good person, they problem in Poland is the stuperintendent and the Board Memebers who jump when he says jump!!

Youngstown police will saturate the South Side

What took so long? Former mayor and his inept police chief did nothing. I sometimes wondered if it was not a racial thing? Now that we have a white mayor and white police chief who are going to start doing something, it wont be long before the efforts are labeled racist. How did the south side get this bad? How was it allowed to get this bad? Why is it the former mayor did nothing on the south side, you could sit anywhere for hours upon hours and never see a police car. Hopefully a new mayor and police chief, only concerned about doing the right thing, will make a difference.

Levendis will face Rich in Campbell

Kronos... you show your true educational level by your remarks. I find your Campbellouillis slur to be an ethnic slur as I am sure other Greeks do too. You and Ms Rich must be very worried if you have to stoop to this level, but then again, maybe you are not stooping. Thank you for giving me a reason to be involved in the upcoming election, we will make sure that you and your kind do not get elected.

Poland school leaders consider parental-pay system for busing

DID I JUST READ CORRECTLY...$283,195 a year for probably busing an avg of 80 kids a day? Over $3,500 a kid...someone is sleeping at the wheel in poland. This should have been done 5 years ago and including the next school year , Poland could have now saved $1,699,170.00 The good ole boys days in poland must end, ZORN MUST GO, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
