Is Ohio's fireworks law a dud?

I have to say that although I feel empathy/sympathy for my fellow combat veterans, banning fireworks on the 4th of July isn't fair to everyone else. They are celebrating the nation's birthday! Fireworks on the 4th of July and on New Year's shouldn't be against the law.

I'm a new resident to Ohio, and I have to say that the controlling attitude of the state & local governments here really makes me want to move elsewhere. You have to have yard sale permits, you can pretty much only use sparklers legally, you have to have permits, training, or a license to do just about anything; and the tax / levy system here is outright nuts.

Anyhow, my opinion is LEGALIZE them.
