"He said it was lost or stolen."...
That is the line of the article! It is the reading-between-the-lines evidence that displays that Kitchen has a serious problem and is using every tactic to survive. I have only met desperate, culpable people who begin to allege crimes/accidents to cover their own misdeeds. Add Kitchen to that list lol

This has "drug addict" written all over it. Normal adults dont do things like this unless they have a drug addiction. Very sad.

Oh man this Hughes lady must be a complete racist for saying these things about Kitchen, because Kitchen is black.
I cannot believe this type of racist behavior is tolerated. Hughes owes Kitchen a public apology and retraction. Where are those pastors? Don't they know Kitchen is black and Hughes is saying these things about him?

I would have more respect for people if they came up and said "Look, we don't want to do it. We will pay more to stay separate because we want our own spheres of power and influence."
That sounds more like the truth than "response time." Ever heard of police beats/precints? Ya think Youngstown has response problems with Ytown's size??? Simply assigning cars from one police department to remain in certain areas should alleviate response times concerns. lol
Bigger issue behind the scenes is who is the police chief? Who chooses the chief? Which two of the three current chiefs are being demoted to normalcy status?...Once these issues come to light, the public will know who is in favor of consolidation and who opposes it.

I believe a YPD Captain's salary is only around $70,000 per year?.....talk about outta whack priorities!

Serious question: What does Kitchen do for a living outside of politics? Has he ever had a job? Did he go to college beyond East High?.....Does he have anything to hang his reputation on other than 2nd ward councilman and Mayor's secretary?
Elsewhere the black community is trying to mobilize and turn this into a race issue and they are hurting their own cause. Jay Williams was an accomplished man outside of politics--MBA, financial VP, etc. Jay (or someone like Jay) would be the black candidate for whom to fight.....but Kitchen? C'mon?
McNally is not perfect but at least, if John loses this election, John can fall-back on his private accomplishments to pay his bills. Can Kitchen? If Kitchen loses, does he have a profession?
Kitchen stated he "had past money problems."...Past?...Past?....FYI when one is still paying off garnishments, it is not in one's "past."...How is it even possible to reside on the EastSide of Youngstown, have a wife that works, earn a $74,000 per year salary in addition to the wife's income and still have money problems???????? Kitchen does not have money problems--that dude has spending problems!!!!
I restate: Can anyone defend Kitchen and advise the public ONE GOAL OUTSIDE OF POLITICS THAT KITCHEN HAS SET AND ACCOMPLISHED???? School? Career? I would like to know.

In 1969, Ursuline had a graduating class of 400 seniors....so yes, UHS could easily accomodate all the Catholic high school students in Mahoning County.

Dont hold the above Lieutenant against all YPD. 99.99% of YPD works hard and is held accountable. Only that disrespectful little doosh walks on water.

The Saadey's own the Austintown Plaza and probably contributed to Ditzler's campaign for commissioner. All of Mahoning County should be concerned that there is even a debate on the matter.......Why should taxpayers continue to finance a millionaire landlord's business? Mahoning County bought the Oak Hill Center specifically to move all their department's there.
The Board of Health should be at Oak Hill and not in the Austintown Plaza. It makes perfect financial and logistical sense.
