Respect? Not a little bit

Keep waiting Stan. He'll talk about his case—that's it. It'll be enough though. Believe that!

@ thewave,
The rest of your beloved nation has no room to point it's DIRTY fingers at Youngstown. It happens everywhere. Lest you forget Blagojevich in Chicago, or the public officials in New Jersey! Quit being naive. Our city and area was a lot better with Jimbo in office. Ask the people in Poland, Boardman, Canfield, etc... The ones who STILL pay their taxes, and moved out of Youngstown because it turned into such a drug infested wasteland.

Celebration ‘is a slap in the face’

Bobby,
We all love you buddy! So give it up! Wow! Save the shameless self-promotion for another dumb-ass. I'm not going to be the one.

" He's just ONE that happened to be convicted and he certainly is not the only “national embarrassment” to the area. Billak and Humphries obviously need hearing aids and a visit to the eye doctors if they wish to blame Traficant for tarnishing the Mahoning Valley.

I live out of state at the present time and its amazing to me the number of people that question WHY I lived in Ytown. It's not a question that's asked because Jim Traficant is from there....but rather its well known that there is NOTHING there but poverty and crime. "

I wanted to copy and paste YTownGramma's comment again, because even a YTownGramma knows how much better the Greater Youngstown area was with politicians like Traficant in office.

I'd take Mafia activity and a corrupt politician who got things done for the area over what we have now: "A lot of hot air and no results!"

Respect? Not a little bit

Anyone who lives in this community KNOWS that if you want the "REAL STORY", it's in the discussions section. Maybe if the whole Vindicator conglomerate didn't need to kiss local businesses a***s so much to stay afloat, they'd be able to report some of these things!

Traficant, and all of those people mentioned in the previous comment are no worse than the shady operation going on downtown.

Elliot Ness,
AMEN BROTHER!

Respect? Not a little bit

If Bertram DeSouza didn't write about: Traficant, the Hanni's, the Cafaro's and plenty of other people who are dead—he'd be pretty bored! I feel bad for all of those people and their families that this Youngstown Vindicator, garbage journalist tries to smear—at least once a month, if not more. Talk about a guy who keeps bringing up the past! JEEZ!
