Solar-powered Volt stops in Valley

I have a Chevy Volt and I am 100% in love with it. *(and no I do not work for Lordstown on any affiliate).

Times are changing and even at cost, we must break this tie to foreign oil and our carbon foot print. I fill up my Volt about every 1100 miles with 9 gallons of gas. It costs me about $.80 to charge it...and I typically am under my 35-40 mile range a day.

Add to it that the Volt is stylish, sleek AND green...I'm willing to pay that price. Forget an ugly Prius. The $7500 rebate and 8 year Voltec powertrain warranty DID however influence my decision.

A++++ to early adopters who are setting the path. Let's just all hope we don't go down the EV1 path again!

No-smoking crackdown fires up some bar owners

"Bartenders and waitresses and such, people with no training or expertise or pay for enforcing a law are indentured by the state to act as such enforcers and are offered no protection at all."

GIVE ME A BREAK. How hard is it to say, "Hey, this there is no smoking in t his bar. Please put it out or leave the bar."

Geee...how hard was that?

2 men charged in Giant Eagle gift-card fraud

Giant Eagle deserves it for the ripping off and deomographic collecting schemes they conduct anyways. It's more funny that two near teenagers outwitted them I personally think.

No-smoking crackdown fires up some bar owners

If these few bar owners would just wise up and follow the law, they'd be in compliance just like eveyone else. In which case, there wouldn't be any bars these patrons could smoke inside of. Eliminating her problems (Sebring) altogether.

It's not rocket science. If you're going to own a business and hold a liquour license, you follow the law. Just like the of us bar owners have done by building outside smoking patios where patrons can still smoke and drink at the same time.

Many give a thumbs down to teen policy at Tinseltown

Looks like Cinema South will be packed once again. Shame that no one realizes that a truly certified THX sound system sits in Theatre #1

Police seek driver who dragged body at drive-through

The understanding is that he was in Utopia, got into a tiff with someone, was asked to leave and then pulled a screwdriver out on the bouncer. That's why he got maced. After he left Utopia no one knows where he went or where it actually happened. The next time anyone saw him was when he was seen at the McDonalds. It doesn't appear that it happened in the lot either. The police taped off the lot entrances and closed Midlothian to examine the street all night.

I'm sorry, but the driver of the car had to of been under the influence of SOME substance, be it legal or illegal. You don't run over someone and not know it. The thought of a hate crime is sorta null, because they drove through the drive thru. If you're out to hurt someone because of their sexual orientation, you don't stick around after committing a crime.

No matter what, this is a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to his family and relatives.
