This season is a lost cause anyway under Mancini, a terrible hire to begin with. The Browns lack a good running game, so that puts great pressure on the QB. Let Quinn play win or lose and get some game experience and confidence. He'll never improve with Mancini's "play three games, get benched" style of coaching. Meanwhile, all other players on both side of the ball need to get their head in the game and ratchet THEIR game up another notch or two. The problem is, the majority of the players dislike Mancini so much, they know the more losses now, the more chance Mancini will be fired. Enjoy this Monday night game. Thanks to Mancini and this season, it will be 2015 before MNF returns to Cleveland. GO BROWNS from a disappointed but loyal Browns fan since 1958 (My year of birth in Youngstown)
I'm with Trustee Ditzler, there is nothing shady going on here and simply a good company wanting to be in full compliance with it's state license. Plus, it's at a great location in Austintown for this type of business. As a trustee, Ditzler is doing a job he was elected to do for all residents of Austintown. Just my opninion.
Keep up the good work, Dave. Congratulations on your victory and for keeping the interests of Austintown close, with the taxpayers in mind. Peace! Ed Schanz - Austintown Fitch Class of 1976. Sacramento, CA
I agree completely with Coach Mangini. too many of today's players have a showboat, "LOOK AT ME" mentality. Players who seperate themselves 15 yard downfield, primping and fistpumping for doing their job is laughable to me. You never saw Dick Butkus, Clay Mathews, Ray Nitschke, Bruce Mathews, Gary Collins, Paul Warfield, do stupid stuff like that. Group celebrations, ect, look like crap from the ghetto, and should be eliminated. What player or coach said "Act Like You've Been There Before" or "Act Like You've Done That Before"? Amen. GO BROWNS! PS Saw JaMarcus Russel the Raiders' QB take off his helmet. Two glistening, sparkling, bright diamond earrings in each ear. What the??? My first thought: "How pretty...' As the son of a Youngstown Steel Worker, wearing two earrings NEVER crossed my mind. How embarrassing for Russel, but many of today's players are all about the bling - directly as heard from crappy rap and hip hog errrr...hop music...

Officer Payne should immediately be fired. No if, and or buts about it. Not acceptable, Chief Hughes. It would be one thing if Payne was on vacation, at a family barecue, and received a phone call to report to work in 45 minutes to an hour. I could understand that. A Police officer, knowing he had been drinking and then reports for work, how dumb can he be? He should have called in sick. Since Payne also had an incident in June, you would think he would be on his best behavior possible. Now this???
No, give his job to a young Youngstown officer who has gone through the academy, training, and has the physical qualifications and mental attitude to protect Youngstown residents from street thugs, punks and lawbreakers. Payne should and must be pink slipped. What's next? Should the YPD wait until Payne gets in an accident from being hung over, and a YPD cruiser, (or city owned vehicle) is tore up, air bags deployed, front end smashed, radiator crushed into the front of the motor, windsheild shattered, headlights broken, leaves the scene on the back of a flat bed tow truck? THEN, something might be done? Hummmm.... Payne must go. He can get alcohol treatment and find another occupation.
Police officers respect those who respect them. My Dad told me at a very young age that if I ever was pulled over, shut the car off, take the keys out of the ignition, light up the inside of the car if it is night, let the officer see immediately where your hands are as he or she walks up to the vehicle.
As a teenager in the 70s, a few times I was pulled over I did all of the above. I did whatever the officer to me to do. I was courteous and polite.
NEVER A PROBLEM. In fact, I even had an officer small talking sports news of the day, without a ticket. As an adult, I have not been pulled over in decades, but my driving record, vehicle maintenance, and safe driving practices never draw attention to myself when I am in traffic.
I don't drink and drive. I don't run from the police. I don't transport drugs on my person or in my car. Bottom line: If I am pulled over, I have all the correct paperwork, valid licence, current vehicle registration, proof of insurance. I have nothing to hide.
Lastly, if your race has a history of committing the MAJORITY of crimes in America, from petty to felony, then chances are you will be pulled over more often. So be it. No racial profiling, it called investigating a group of known lawbreakers. Blame your loser people who are outlaws. If that is not you, simply do the above I mentioned. Nothing to hide, courteous to a peace officer, you have nothing to fear.
Gates was clearly out of line. Hopefully, he'll learn what I knew at age 10 or so...
I think GM will be okay. Frankly, all three American companies, GM, Ford and Chrysler are building great cars and trucks. I'll take a new, factory fresh Ford F-150, Dodge Ram or Chevy Silverado any day. Sorry to see Saturn go, the recent Vue Red Line is a great small SUV. Check them out! GM problem is too much overhead / fat and foreign makes now, KIA, Hundai ect. that factor in to each and every vehicle that they build. Fat retiree benefits, health care for workers that haven't been there for 15-20+ years, pensions, and fat cat living and perks for their management ALL are factors in what happened. The ecomomy going south, laced with last years record high gasoline prices, too many dealerships, was the icing on the GM bankrupcy cake.
Woolyd, absolutely, the Chicago Bears should be included in my list from great teams from the past. Under Coach George Halas, those teams were very good, playing a physical brand of football that would be considered too rough for today's NFL. Ever see some of those hits Dick Butkus layed on ball carriers and QBs when he played? The field today would be littered with yellow flags for penalties. Frankly, it teams such as those Halas' Bears teams, Lombardi's / Lambeau's Packers, Paul Brown's BROWNS that built the NFL into the league it is now. Many other greats, not just those three I mentioned. Remember, in those years, again, Pittsburgh absolutley sucked.
Jrolley, yes a typical Squeeler fan. Nobody is denying the Steelers 6 Super Bowl wins. Browns fans acknowledge wins in championship games. The fact of the matter is the Steelers sucked for 40 + years, finally making the playoffs in 1972 with the "immaculate reception" game VS Oakland. Nobody knew or can remember Steeler head coaches prior to Chuck Noll, a former Browns player that brought his Cleveland football philosphy to the Burgh that rightfully has the name "Pitts" in it. Same with Bill Cowher, another former Browns player. Hey Jrolley, when the National Football League stops keeping NFL records before Super Bowl I in 1967. then I will continue to credit the Browns with numerous championship wins. YOUR way of thinking, then takes away all of the Packers, NY Giants, Baltimore Colts, ect. great teams from the past simply because you think the NFL started in 1967. Jrolley = "Not Too Smart"... ha ha How come the Pirates are never mentioned in sports talk? Because they have sucked for decades, and with no NBA team. Remember, the Steelers were once the NFL doormat, Browns fans never had to wait 40 years for a playoff game !!!!
