Looks at the roster of who is speaking, a good majority of the Moms, do not share the same last names of their Sons.
Wonder if they would Darren Wilson's mom speak about how Michael Brown's aggression towards her son, caused him his career?

The leaders of Struthers, Campbell, Austintown, Boardman, Poland, Liberty, etc. should be the biggest supporter of this bill. Because if it passes, there will be a big exodus of companies looking to leave the city.

I have to think the communities of Boardman, Austintown, Liberty, Struthers, Campbell, etc., would love for this to pass. I could see a huge exodus of businesses to those communities.

A law made by law makers, and upheld by the Supreme Court.
If I commit a crime, a felony at the federal or state level, that is punishable by more than 1 year of prison, then until that conviction is removed via pardon, Expungement, etc., I am deemed to have forfeited my rights to own firearms.
Love the left, they cry when we want to restrict abortion, saying we can't tell women what to do with their bodies. Yet, they want to tell me what arms I can possess that I deem best to protect mine.

gun ownership is a RIGHT, not a privilege.
What's next? Will you want licensing and background checks for people before they can exercise their free speech by posting on message boards.

opie - No one needs a semi-automatic gun?!?!?! That's great, lets start by taking them away from the police and military.
glbtactivist - Funny, this country was formed by taking up arms against a tyrannical government. I suggest some light reading, maybe the Declaration of Independence. Then maybe Federalist 46.
Armed men are citizens, unarmed men are subjects.

The problem with banning someone on a watch list, is that no-one knows they are on a watch list, and know ones knows the recourse for being removed. It is almost a guilty, before being proven innocent. A violation of the 5th amendment to the US Constitution. And removing someone's rights without a trial sets a dangerous precedent. Teddy Kennedy was on a watch list at one point, and all he did was drown a girl.
As for those saying he had a "military grade assault rifle", you know nothing of what you speak. Get some education, then come back and we can have an intelligent discussion.
And yes, I will keep my AR-15. 2nd amendment is not about hunting, or personal defense, they are added bonuses. It is a protection against tyranny. The founders realized that to protect the homeland, a military was needed (a well regulated militia), but they also feared that military might abuse its powers, so the right of the people to keep and bear arms should not be infringed.
Plus, when the Zombies come, we all know whose house you'll be running to.
