webad, please go back and read my post. The entire thing except the first 4 lines was an email that was sent to me. It is not my viewpoint, but I thought it would bring more discussion to this blog as it appears that has been the topic here.
I am a Steelers fan. PenguinBird gives all fans a bad name. He is an immature idiot. This is the type of person that gets beat up for running his mouth. To refer to someones mother is totally inexcusable. It goes to far. He might be 12 or13 yrs old because that is the mentality. Just shut up. Mikeymike you have reason to take it personal.
The Browns beat the Steelers in all phases of the game. It wasn't even as close as the score indicated. For me, it was painful to watch as has been most of this season. But the Browns were ready and they wanted it more. They seem to have played better since Quinn was reinstated as the QB.
As a Steeler fan I believe we are just spoiled. We expect to win every single game, which is unrealistic, but that is the mindset. We talk super bowl because each year that is the goal. We expect to at least be one of teams playing to reach that goal. Mikeymike you say you know your team is bad and accept that. I can somewhat understand that because I also follow the Pirates and who could be a worse team to follow. I don't root for them to beat anyone in particular. I would just like to see them win. But baseball is different, there are 162 games of potential misery to face. My question is, even if the Browns finish 2-14, are you to the point that it is a successful season if one of those wins was against the Steelers?
The following is an email that I received. It has both good and bad points to it. After reading the different viewpoints in this blog, I thought it would fit with this discussion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
America, Canada , all Europe ... needs a President like this
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians'.
'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'. 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'
'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'
'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom,
'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.'
'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'
Maybe if we circulate this, American citizens will find the backbone to start speaking and voicing the same truths.
Appears everyone has read the article and developed their own ideas and opinions as to what has happened here. Regardless of what all your opinions are, I think everyone will agree it is a horrible, horrible thing for anyone to abuse a child like this. But the only facts that are in this blog are the child's injuries, who was arrested and what Stan found on Tim White. There is an overall assumption that the mother was involved in the abuse, but per someone close to the investigation, the mother is not a suspect and will not be charged unless there is evidence to the contrary. The mention of White causing injury over an unknown period of time was the abuse caused throughout the day in question. The mother left for work early in the morning while White and the child were still asleep. He called her in the afternoon stating that the child fell in the outside hallway and was unconscious. She called 911. The apartment was searched and there have been no mention of drugs being involved. These appear to be the facts. Now you all can make your own assumptions.
