The Steelhounds number one were such a liability to the Chevy Centre. It cost the city 2 million dollars in a loan to Washington to even bring them here in the first place. They were in a league that was no where near this area which is the cause of the financial dispute, the fact that the team was never reimbursed for travel costs. Also, the team made no money unless the entire arena was sold out. Tell me that was a smart business decision. Number two.. the Phantoms might not be a professional team but those boys play hard. They're fast, they focus on the fundamentals, and they play good hockey. You can watch a kid like goalie Garrett Bartus who played behind a veteran two seasons ago, grow and be able to come out on the ice and lead the team to the Robertson Cup Championship game a season later. These boys may not be in their 30s and still playing in a low level of profesional hockey like the Steelhounds, but they're young and still have a whole career ahead of them. Whether it's going to play in the NHL or for a college team where they'll become successful in hockey and get a great education. If the people of Youngstown can't get behind this team and support them because of their colors or their name, then bring them back to the Ice Zone where the fans there really do appreciate what they do. Good luck Phantoms!!
