Each year it seems, an important issue comes before voters and then the special interest people come out of the woodwork to tell us how bad this issue is for us.
Special interest people in this instance include local and regional officials who are miffed that they are not included in this porposal and claim the issue is the downfall of the valley. What they are really telling us is, they are not going to see dollars lining their personal pockets if this issue passes and they will lose money from their interests. Special interest people are not looking out for the State of Ohio or for you.
Before you make your decision, look at the big picture and not the myoptic vision of those crying for its defeat. Issue 3 is before us to stem the tide of lost revenue and taxes to the out-of-state casinos and put those dollars back in the hands of Ohio. This is not about Youngstown. This is not about Cleveland. Issue 3 is all about Ohio, Youngstown, Cleveland, Champion, and all other communites in the state. l would like to see a renewed effort "For Ohio" and not the continued effort by others who have outside interests and look for ways to stifle Ohio growth.
We need to pool our efforts "For Ohio" because, as Ohio grows, so does its communities. An increase in tax revenue for Ohio means less demand for tax imcome from our pockets, road improvements that every community desperately needs, school improvements for our childrens' education and a balanced budget that does not impact safety services.
Issue 3 is the best proposal available to balance our budget and keep Ohio dollars working in Ohio. Don't let special interest people convince you otherwise. Keep Ohio dollars in Ohio. Vote YES on Issue 3.
It appears that the Cleveland Brown's offense is still sorting itself out. There is disharmony among the players and the offensive coordinator, Brian Dabol. Any player who has objected to the play-calling has been removed from play. Quinn sits on the bench (not good), Edwards has been traded (good), and Winslow was traded away because of his ability to cause turmoil in the huddle. Anderson's (and the receivers') performances last weekend indicate the offense is very much a works in progress. How long will this training camp continue? I have never seen such a prolonged process for learning a new offensive scheme. Is it coaching, or is it the players?
Energy efficiency does make sense, but at what cost? Most everything I see available in our stores that is energy efficient is made overseas. Do we produce anything in good ole USA anymore? Its no wonder our economy is in the tank.
I recently had a discussion with an engineer working for the VA, who was attempting to supply electrical products, such as lite switches and power outlets, to his VA facility. The VA rules and guidelines require those products to be "made in USA". The engineer was surprised to discover he could not find any of those products to be made in USA. I finally located a supplier for him that had products "made in America", which included products of North America, including Mexico. The engineer had to accept "Made in America" products, as that was as close as he was going to get, rather than buying Chinese made products. What a shame!
Ted Nugent and his wife are two of the most admired "American Activists" I know. They truely represent what every American feels (and wishes) America should be like.
If you think its bad now...Wait until Walmart begins selling more foreign grown food! Our country is rapidly becoming a consumer of dirty goods from all 2nd class emerging countries of the world. We no longer can afford "Made in USA" or "Made in Japan" or "Made in Germany". We are buying and consuming goods and products made in the poorest countries of the world based on their labor costs because our economic heath is so poor that we must cut costs. This is a catch 22 effect, as we lose more manufacturing here, we lose jobs and income, so we buy cheap products from overseas, which causes more businesses here to close.
Vote YES because everything you hear on TV and the radio is being paid for and edited by out-of-state pockets. Why do out-of-state interests want us to vote no?...because they do not want to lose Ohio dollars. Ohio dollars support the out-of-state casinos and their interests. Stop the outflow of Ohio money. Please vote YES on Issue 3...keep Ohio dollars in Ohio and maybe we can start bringing in money from adjoining states as well.
In defense of the Browns, their 4 losses have been against teams that have only lost 3 games total.
In critique of the Browns, their offense is bad. Real Bad. It shows absolutely no coordination. The Browns offense looks as if they have never played together as a team and players continue to make the same mistakes, despite changing the players.
The entire team, including the coaches should be embarassed with this win. The only reason they won is because Buffalo's offense was horrible.
Hey 857nafstrops...Ralphie did not find that version of a Christmas carol to be a bit funny, nor did he enjoy the beheading of the duck! This is serious stuff here man, what's a matter for you.
I can only guess now at what brand names China will come up with for their new automobile imports into the U.S....Panda Motors? Red Star Trucks? Or will they follow the path of some ot their Chinese furniture making buddies...American Signature furniture and name their vehicles American Dream? or American Motor Works (AMW). If GM thinks it was in a bad position this year, wait another 2 years, as China takes over the world automobile market. If you do not believe me, just look at what happened in electronics, clothing and furniture industries.
