Former YSU part-time assistant coach arrested, charged with drug trafficking

She's always been in trouble, ever since her days at Boardman HS. This should come as no surprise to anyone. The parents had no control over her, no dicipline.

Two Mooney teens’ bodies found at cemetery

rgp, you're a sick individual. Get your facts straight. Whatever was going on had nothing to do with sports. By the way, one of them played baseball, and was a 3-year letter winner. One of them was adopted with his sister from the streets of Saravejo whern he was 5. You know nothing.

Mooney defeats Steubenville 45-7

What's an "Opie" title? Mooney1993 sounds alot like a bitter former player who never stepped on the field. I'm not a fan of Mooney, but it is what is. No one complains when public schools have open enrollment.
The bottom line is this: People choose to send their kids to Catholic schools because of academics, not just athletics. The public school system especially around here sucks, so if you could, why wouldn't you send your kids to a Catholic school?
If you look around the state, public schools fare pretty well in the state playoffs, it's not always a Catholic sweep.

Can Rayen Stadium rise again? Officials study $2.6M proposal

Why wouldn't they just use South? It's probably in better shape, and would be cheaper to renovate. Plus it's more centrally located to both city schools.

Go for it, school board tells backers of $2.6M Rayen Stadium renovation

Why wouldn't they just use South high Staduim, which might be cheaper to renovate, and put turf in there? It's more centrally located to Chaney and East then Rayen Stadium is.

Youngstown board behind proposal for a renovated Rayen Stadium

Why not South High's Stadium instead? It's probably in better shape, and more centrally located for the city school's to use. Just clean it up, and add field turf. Probably be cheaper then renting out YSU, and will give the city schools more home games.
