The valley has gotten too small for so many hospitals. Time to close Northside and move on. Unfortunately, union rallies will have NO effect on that need or decision. Forum Health's time in Y-town has passed.
Slap those China import products with a 100% tariff and bring all those manufacturing jobs back to the USA. We need union manufacturing jobs in the USA now.

The county government and commissioners spend like drunken sailors. They have no regard for the taxpayer who is struggling to pay their bills. This is a good wakeup call and chance for them to practice frugalism. No extension of the 1/2% sales tax in the county is the best thing that could happen to them.
Learn to live on less like those of us in the private sector have learned how to do. Layoff all those non-productive friends and family on the county payroll who do nothing but collect a paycheck. Cut the pay and benefits paid to those left. It's time to take control of the county budget.
White males pay the majority of taxes today and are excluded from this tax funded event? This is a travesty and everyone including white males should be included in this opportunity. Talk about discrimination!!!
Heacock needs to go. YSU has slipped so far backwards that it will take many years for a new coach to rebuild a winning prigram that Tressel left him. Why he hasn't been fired years ago says YSU leadership doesn't care about football?
Northside needs to CLOSE! The valley can no longer support so many hospitals. St. Elizabeth is #1 and that is all the valley needs today with the huge population drop over the past 30 years after the steelmills closed and all the good paying jobs went away. The politicians need to recognize that fact and it's time for them to budget accordingly. Y-town will never be the same and so Northside needs to just go away with it's 1400 jobs. Not even my union brothers can save these jobs in this economic scenario.
