This is the fault of mangement thinking that they can cut jobs and add to another and overload a job causing people to be in the hole and they dont want you stopping the line. If you dont have experience working in a plant you shouldn't commit on what goes on at General Motors
I just recently got layed off from general motors after almost a year of service as a temp, the union did nothing to fight for us to become permanent, the excuse was that there were still permanent people still layed off from other plants that needed to be placed first. The language in the contract changes to suit the union and gm but never the workers who go in and work hard. I worked side by side with most of the people who filed the suit and i know first hand of all the details in the case and it is wrong that your doing the same job as someone across the line from you and your only getting half the pay for doing the same job. So i'm rallying behind them and hope that they win the suit.
To those of you that want to criticize the things that happen in youngstown your no better that the person responsible for this. I personally have know Jamail for over 10 years and he was a good person he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was not a thug, drug dealer or anything like that, he worked and went to school he graduated from Liberty High School and was a star on the schools Baseball team so lets stop all the negative talk someone lost there life and his family is grieving so show some sort of respect for the family.
When i view this blog i really get upset at the things people post and say but i just take a deep breath and realize that the people posting on the blog are ignorant and don't know any better because they have convinced themselves that they live a "PLEASANTVILLE" life this is not the case at all what that officer did to those boys was a disgrace period point blank, When a situation happens like this how would you fell if this were your children??? I dont think you would be happy at all so stop all the negitive talk and get senseable about the bigger picture yes the cop over reacted and he needs to be punished according.
