Kasich to pay aides more than Strickland doled out

I am so proud to say I did not vote for Kasich! There is really something wrong going on inside his head! He really thinks he is above us and I don't think his judgement is that of a stable person. He was complaining about Unions and government jobs but does not include the truley overpaid people. I work for the County, am 54 and make $9.00 and hour. He is giving an increase that is more than I make in a year yet he says we are making too much! He has his own agenda and he is not wasting time ruining Ohio...

Mahoning County’s CSB risks voter backlash with pay raises

Brothers and sisters-CSB workers are not the enemy. They have been unfairly targeted for some government office's agenda. The salary amount posted for the adverage worker somehow does not mention that it is the salary of someone who has been there for years. It does not mention the support staff who make a great deal less and all of who are going threw difficult times like you. They have always been responsible with their budgets and only asked for minimal raises even before the recent economy problems we are currently having. Are you saying you want no one in America even companies/organizations who have consistent managed their budget to give cost of living raises??? I know a support staff person there who's spouse was out of work, child was in college and they at over 50+ years of age was making $9.00 and hour. Do you think they struggled? Would you wish them more grief than they are experiencing now? They are doing everything they can to make our world a better place to live in and some people need to learn not to be so easily influenced by government and the news media printing less than the whole truth...

Begin debating body scanners, but don’t shut down air travel

Wow, some people never fail to amaze me. USA is so lucky not to live with the terrorizm so many countries experience daily. TSA is a part of what keeps us safe and should be commended. Anyone that reads the news knows that terrorist come in many sizes, shapes and ages. People who have been killed by them obviously did not expect it. EVERY person needs screened. Taking a few minutes to be screened is nothing in the big scheme of things... our victims of 9/11 would be advocates of TSA.

Traficanti calls CSB raises ‘unconscionable’

How many people out there would want to have their hearts broken on a daily basis? Thier jobs are helping our county by addressing issues no one else in the community wants to. Anyone not in favor of trying to take care of these workers should be ashamed....

Mahoning CSB approves pay raises for workers

I can't believe how one sided the stories have been about CSB workers from the media. Frankly, I would be embarrassed to publish stories without researching some facts. Some one needs to start years ago and look at how different agencies managed their budgets. CSB has always been frugel.Employees have always received minimal raises and were requested to hold off on this one by the very people who are acting surprised. Could it be some people are trying to take the focus off of themselves and their on- going legal battles which is being paid by who???
