YtownTheaterVet.. for the record there is nothing professional about Easy Street Productions, Neither Todd, Maureen, nor any of the actors they employ are members of Actor's Equity the union for professional actors. Aside from the fact that they've been lining their pockets with bloated ticket prices since they've been at the Uptown, they're really just another community theater company looking to make a buck. Though I must say Todd Hancock as Harold Hill is quite possibly the single most ironical bit of casting the Valley has seen in quite some time. That being said there is nothing wrong with theater produced merely for financial gratification and if you're looking to not be challenged by anything and merely want to be entertained - good on you.
However, if you insist maintaining that theater is about morality and has no business dealing with issues such as sexual deviance, drugs, gender confusion, etc. then you simply have no sense for the history of theater and you'd be better served removing your provincial attitude to the burbs where you can perform Lil' Abner till your heart is content.
Youngstowng2009. It's always a treat to know that when the mental acuity slips we can always fall back on fat jokes and the denigration of the things we can't understand. If you've no stomach for the theater go be an accountant.
lucy. I don't know who you are, but bless your reasonable, rational, little soul.
‘Music Man’ will delight fan base
