I guess when you want the correct facts you have to research them yourself. Google- Sherman International corp ,they are a company that supplies equipment to steelmills , they don't build steelmills.
The reason they own the property is because they purchased all of the equipment in the old buildings years ago and the property came as a bonus because they got it for pennies on the dollar.
Now , They need a company to build or finance a construction such as a V&M star, Severstal steel, or U.S steel .
Do any of you know what it cost to build a new steelmill today around 800 million dollars. You show me a company thats willing to invest that kind of money in a industry thats dying in this country and has already be dead in this valley for over 30 years.
I have the perfect analogy for the George Krinos 5 year plan. I'll take a huge crap in a bag and over the next five years i'll spend all the city's revenue on trying to turn it into gold. Then i can pay off all the city's debt.
But... reality is i just wasted 5 years of revenue and still have a huge pile of crap .
Since we all know how good George is with finances he was able to get his plan done in just 6 months in office.
Your so called simple concept of investing , ok lets all invest our money with mayor so we can watch our money GROW into the RED..
Cmhs68 your comments make me laugh, One because anyone who reads them knows there is no intelligence behind the person writing them. Two your theory on business is why the mayor is going out of business. When you start a business ,initially you have credit and debt then as things take off you pay down your debt and credit and start working off your cashflow to run and make some profit , if it doesn't take off you don't max out your credit and borrow to the hilt on a failing business and run it into the ground.
Just like i said the city is a business , operating money is there , tax revenue is down ,Guess what YOU DON"T SPEND MONEY on things . You cut positions and salaries and expenses and operate on whats coming in . That's how you make a business survive . But then again you have a person who is totally incompetent to business. The mayor enjoys spending other peoples money ,but somehow can never account for his own.

If your so confident in your mayor do you have your retirement or pension or any of your personal savings invested with him ?
I bet not one person thats defending him on here has their money invested with him.
Also, he is not a good person , Good people pay their bills !! Everyone is entitled to mistakes in their life, but i guess according to public records his mistake has been an ongoing one for 9+ years.

The mayor as never ran a successful business in his life. As other people have posted , he doesn't even own a home , he owes so many people and companies money. Filed for bankruptcy twice ,has had cars repoed and people come on here and defend him. Are you kidding me?
Go back and read all his promises he made running for mayor , its all in black and white and you can find them on here . So i guess that makes him a LIAR too !!
I really hope for the sake of the city it does go broke and gets dissolved into youngstown or other areas. Then all the idiots that are running it into the ground will be out of job and can stop wasting our taxes on there friends .

This guy is an absolute joke ! You really can't make this stuff up . Just look at all his failures and mistakes , what a loser .
It states that he was with his wife , Its hard to believe that driving your pregnant wife thats due in 2 months a model citizen.
