The christian bible clearly states that any woman who becomes engaged to be married, but is found to be not a virgin must be stoned to death.
To all you pseudo-christians who use the bible to bash gay marriage and preserve the "institution of marriage:"
Why are you picking on the gays? I haven't heard even one of you promote a ban against the marriage of non-virginal women. Perhaps that one strikes a little too close to home?
It's sad that American fundamentist christianity has become so corrupted by your hypocrisy. No wonder your ranks are dwindling and the roles of Muslim and Atheist organizations continue to grow.
Until you all stop criticizing others and start looking for the sin within, the steady decline of your religion will continue.
Yes, I truly believe that "the Govt." saved GM. And yes, I can spell FORD. It's spelled Ford. Ironically, but not surprisingly, you spelled it incorrectly. Unless it appears on a nameplate, only the first letter is capitalized.
Well, I've answered your question. Was there some point in your asking it?
If you believe that the financial conditions of GM and FORD [sic] at that time were even remotely comparable, you are sorely mistaken.
For a variety of reasons, the bailout was necessary to save GM, and it worked. For a variety of reasons, a bailout was not necessary for Ford, so it was not requested. The actual reasons are far too complex to explain in this forum, nor do I think you'd be willing, or even able, to understand them.
My recommendation to you would be to take a serious, unbiased look into the reasons, needs, and conditions associated to the bailout.
Lee, you should always learn, think, and THEN type. You will look far less foolish.
Interesting comment Photoman. However, I'd like to point out a few inaccuracies:
- We still have freedom of speech and the no-one is attempting to "destroy" it.
- I still own firearms, and no one is attempting to take them away or prevent me from owning more (I allowed my NRA membership to expire because they insist on propagating this misconception).
- There are no drones flying over my heighborhood, other than the mapping satelites)
- I don't believe for a minute that you truly expected "Hope and Change" from the Obama admin.
You don't need a meeting with a shrink . . . 'cause if you are truly having a "porch cannon" delivered to your house, the diagnosis is already in . . . you're nuts.
We get tired of these stories about gun nuts blowing their brains out (or worse, some young child blowing their brains out with daddy's "cool hobby").
Why not take up a safe hobby . . . like knitting? Nahhhh . . . you'd only stab your eyes out.
Yes, I do play the lottery, I drink, and I have an occasional cigar.
But, what I DON'T do is profess to be a member of some ancient club (a.k.a. religion) that loudly proclaims adherence to a moral code, while looking away when their own members violate that code. That would be hypocrisy.
Kind of ironic that a professed Catholic calls me "midevil" [sp], when your religion has its very roots in medieval culture.
Go 'guins!!! I was there last night. What a fantastic game! The last five minutes were some of the most intense I've felt at a sporting event. And KP's slam at the end, was frosting on the cake (even though it didn't count).
The 2,845 fans who were there know that this team is for real and know the excitement.
To those who weren't there: there's another big game Sunday afternoon. Consider bringing the family. You won't get a better value for your entertainment dollar!
And no, I'm not associated with YSU or it's marketing department. I just love greatmsports, and this year's team delivers some of the best!

Transit of Venus
Not everything has to be worrisome Toy (and, judging by your posts you tend to worry A LOT).
Just relax a little, sit back and just enjoy something that is just a little cool.
Thanks Vindy, for telling us about something other than those horrible, sinful gays who dare to expect the same rights the rest of us enjoy!

Government intrusion on church practices violates the Constitutional
redeye,
If you are referring to the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty, this treaty would regulate international arms trading.
Please explain how regulating international trading of arms would translate into a "law that will outlaw gun ownership the Good Old USA."
This law could impact some collectors, but will not have the impact to which you allude.
Please try to be more honest in the future.
