Ohio governor, GOP leaders hold union law meeting

Who are you quoting you lunatic? Some editorial off the web? We saw it the first time...this piece of OPINION.

I can see that you have no ability to process debate and simply will rant madly in response.

Typical of your ilk...no cognitive abilities except to parrot what someone else has written.

SB5 divides the middle class. Voting for SB5 is a vote against your neighbors and fellow tax payers. Enjoy the foreclosures if you uphold this abomination.

Youngstown State University cannot afford faculty strike

Ask the administration melinko. They are the only ones able to disperse funds and to cancel classes. Faculty has no control over any of this.

If you have paid for it, then you had the money right? If you paid for it with money you didn't have or couldn't afford, I'm sorry to hear that. It's like people who buy houses and cars and can't afford the payments. I'm lost on how you paid already. Get a refund would be my advice.

Also, the faculty IS willing to sacrifice benefits and salary. That has been well-documented. The administration is holding out for deeper cuts, despite concessions offered by the faculty, giving administrative raises, AND a fact finders report that the administration won't honor despite agreeing to honor it in the first place. Don't blame the faculty for any of your woes.

SB 5 opponents snub invitation

You are a trip man. An absolute trip.

You ability to ignore facts and just spout of randomly is reminiscent of the sheep in Animal Farm. Keep it up and you could be head ram.

South Side neighbors clean up

I found M dogg's post pretty disturbing. He accepts no responsibility for putting crummy tenants into property.

Whether or not they tear it up is jointly your and their responsibility. If you aren't satisfied with the class of renters in your properties, it seems like it's YOUR problem.

Put the landowners and property owners, banks or private citizens on notice. Start sending them bills for clean up.

YSU president’s mettle tested

"No one ordered YSU not to give students their money on time, as contractually required"

"And, unfortunately, no one but the YSU administration can cancel classes, which they may choose to do or not to do."

nice find Attis

YSU president’s mettle tested

Any word on the mass shooting from last summer? Was she President during that time?

I guess that doesn't rate news anymore. Our governor seems to have forgotten as well, despite his promises to the contrary.

How about the actual property owners clean up their own property?

I love that people are doing this. It's time to hold these absentee landlords, etc. responsible.

Send them the bill.

SB 5 opponents snub invitation

Stan can't stay on topic when confronted with a fact he can't deal with, so he spirals out of control.

He likes to ignore that bit about public employees being tax payers as well.

He likes to ignore concessions made.

He likes to ignore that this bill actually KILLS much needed jobs, without adding a single one.

He likes to ignore that, thusfar, we've not seen much,if any, job creation under Kasich.

He likes to ignore that the financial situation of the entire country during Strickland's term was in much more unstable territory.

Stan is the REAL big time loser.

They aren't holding anyone hostage. The terms of the previous contract are public knowledge, and are agreed upon by both sides. They aren't pulling any crap, but are following the timelines guaranteed upon by both sides.

It's nice to see that you are attending a university where you have no faith in your faculty. Why would you pick that school in the first place?

"Lets not cloud the fact that your interest in the taxpayers is their contribution in higher taxes regardless of their financial situation . During this time when most are facing austerity you want largesse"

actually that's not true at all and is a gross misstatement, but that would be from the king of gross misstatements.

Once again, you couldn't deal with the facts so you bloviate on something unrelated.

Face it daddy, you're a blowhard. If you think public employees are living lives of "largesse" then you are as uninformed as I think you are.

Nobody is asking anyone to raise taxes in any of these articles or comments. As I pointed out, every contract I've seen in the government watch section takes steps to ensure that will NOT happen.

But then, that would require you actually reading and knowing what you are talking about...a tall order for the king.
