I have to admit that I saw the "Saturday Night Live" skit about Palin's interview with Katie Couric before I saw the actual interview. I was amazed that, in poking fun at Sarah Palin, Tina Fey used Palin's exact words. She didn't have to do anything extraordinary at all.
Given how inarticulate and unable to think on her feet Palin can be, I have a lot of concern about her being able to handle the job of Vice President. People like to compare Palin's inexperience with Obama's, but there is a big difference: Obama can think fast, he has been right about a lot of issues even before other members of both parties, and he has concrete plans instead of insinuations about his character as a "maverick" or something.
I am frightened by our collective willingness to think Palin "did a good job" because she didn't do as bad a job as she's done in interviews (where she doesn't know what will be asked).
She is not just ineffective, she will also be perceived as weak ...and America does not need that.
Palin, Biden bring strengths, weakness to Thursday’s debate
