I thank myself for working hard and achieving my own success. My perks are a result of my own efforts and I need not thank any union man for anything. I have job security because I am good at what I do, not because I have seniority.

AAC. Union is to blame here as they are in most other cases of plant shut downs. Executives are exactly that...Executives..who probably had some skin in the game ( ie highly educated, required to relocate when told, have to deal with unions) and they're trying to get back their piece. Unions are passé. Admit it and move on. As for your smash on banks you must have slept through the past 4 years because congress crushed banks and enacted countless reforms so the same can't happen again. Do yourself a favor and research the real facts behind the bank bailout. The government forced banks, especially the ones that didn't need it, to take TARP money and charged them a higher than market interest rate for that money they didn't need, and wouldn't let them pay it back before 12 months. Translation....banks were in a position to pay back so called "bailout" money whereas GM wasn't. Therefore get in your GM vehicle and drive ...just hope the car can make it...
