This show you want will end up costing Ohioans $4 million dollars instead of $400,000 for each of the victims in this sexual harassment case. And yes, these two girls were victims and now heroes for having the guts to stand up to creeps like Gutierrez and Marc Dann. Their bravery and determination brought down a very corrupt public official who would have had the opportunity to do GOD only knows what else for two more years before we (the public) would have found anything out about his corrupt ways.

The bill Ted Strickland signed gives Tom Charles authorization to conduct this investigation in the AG's office just this one time. A bill should be presented, passed, and signed to give the Inspector General's office permanent authorization to investigate any and all agencies whether they are under the control of the governor, the attorney general, or any other state, city, or county agency funded by the taxpayers.

So Gutierrez had an admin assistant in Columbus and an admin assistant in Youngstown? Why? Couldn't the Columbus admin (where he spent most of his time) also handle anything he needed when he was in Youngstown with emails, faxes, etc.? From all the testimony I've read he was in Youngstown on Friday's...no need for a full time admin for one day per week. Who approved this position? Just too shady for my taste.

This is becoming a bigger joke by the minute. Dann obviously doesn't care that he is singlehandedly ruining his own political party...or does he even have a political party anymore?

Come on Dann...it takes all 1,400 employees to run an effective and efficient Attorney General's office and most of them have no confidence in you, they don't trust you, and they no longer respect you. You can't do it on your own. How noble of you to personally call that CJ character, apologize to him and promise that you will work very, very hard to gain back his trust in you. (For those that didn't see the news the other day, CJ - can't remember his last name - is a current employees who was interviewed by Channel 10 Columbus where he said he didn't trust Dann and most employees felt the same way he did). I've never read anywhere that you've apologized to the two women that were harassed and were brave enough to come forward...don't you think you should start with them first?

Get out of office Dann before we end up with McCain for president. Don't hang on for pure selfishness, think of all us Democrats that want this country to get back on the right track.

Don's forget perjury - 1/2 of his testimony under oath seems to be a lie. I can't believe he claimed he didn't know how Gutierrez got his job and who interviewed him. Are you kidding me? And not knowing that Stankoski was an employee when he invited her to the condo - even Gutierrez said he told Dann she was an admin in the department prior to handing the phone to her. Oh, what else? Not knowing the Gutierrez was driving state owned vehicles and later admitting he hitched a ride with him a few times. Come on, does Dann think we are that stupid? What an insult to us the public.

Interesting that AG's office wants an outside agency to investigate/review Gutierrez's department but would not allow an outside agency to handle the initial sexual harassment allegations. If there wasn't anything to hide, why not let an outside agency handle everything? Hopefully the results of this internal investigation will be the true facts and we are patiently awaiting them to be released this week.

Another thing I found interesting was how many times Dann's wife was mentioned in the two women's complaints made public last week. As many people that are on Dann's payroll through association and loyalty, I wouldn't be surprised if she too is on his payroll and driving a state car herself. I guess we'll find out whenever this investigation is over.

If you ask me, this whole thing is a big mess and should have been investigated by an outside agency from the beginning and nothing (including the women's names and complaints) should have been released to the media or anybody else until a thorough and fair investigation was completed.

I've been reading articles and comments about the Marc Dann fiasco and although I agree that the emails between Dann and Utovich show a very strange relationship, indicating more than a boss/subordinate relationship, I want to know one thing:

Why were emails between Dann and Gutierrez as well as Dann and Jennings never requested by the media? The question all along has been Did Dann know??? and, if he knew, When Did He Find Out??? about Gutierrez's inappropriate behavior towards the two young ladies who have filed sexual harassment charges against him. In my opinion, these are the emails that should have been requested and reported on...or were they refused in order to protect Marc Dann?
