Take note of Washington state, the recent ruling on Prop 8 and all of the other grassroots-inspired actions that are playing out across the country. First off, we aren't shoving anything down your throat; we prefer to do that to each other. Secondly, no, we will not see marriage between a cat and a human. The cat cannot consent. Now get the cat to sign the documents, and you have a case. Third, if you do know Adam and Steve, let them know I've been dying to meet a real life Adam and Steve couple. Fourth, power of attorney is great, but it still creates a second class citizenship, of which I'm not. I understand you are fighting based on your religious principles, however, the fight is not in your best interest. Once you lobby to have a bill that prohibits divorce, makes women nothing more than cake bakers and baby makers, and legalizes incest (Adam and Eve, right?), then let's talk about making sure gays are stoned to death. Two consenting adults can and WILL be able to marry whoever they love, regardless of gender. We will not stop this fight. We've been bullied enough, we will not tolerate what you and your offspring do to children who identify as LGBTQ, and we are in this fight until all adults have the same and equal rights of every other adult. And yes, I do love my boyfriend's butt, and when I put the ring on his finger and have the marriage license signed, I will call him my husband.
