Truth: People are making a huge deal about this racino next to a highway because there is nothing else to get excited about in a dying and increasingly irrelevant area.
The excitement surrounding a few hundred $13/hr jobs is a mask for desperation. Then again, at least this is a change from the $10/hr call center jobs we usually get excited about.

The casino industry is becoming over saturated... The 3 C's revenue has been pretty flat. The pie isn't growing, they're just dividing it up more, and if given the choice does anyone really want to visit the Mahoning Valley over all the other ones around us in better locations?

I agree with them. I don't think they have the ability to attract bright students that aren't already planning on YSU by covering just tuition.

Neither the university or the faculty can afford to have a strike. The university is in a pretty bleak spot as it is.

To be honest, if you're buying a GM vehicle you can't be expecting that great of resale value....
Consider it a tax on poor consumer choices...

To put it simply, I have no interest in GM cars... The only brands I'd consider for on my budget are Toyota, Honda, Subaru, or in rare instances Ford.
