@76Ytown,I hope that you are not implying that Cyrus' antics are universally applauded. At least the media that watch and the people that I know considered her performance to be repulsive, and disgusting. Like it or not, in our "free" society there are going to be some segment to will defend and even applaud lewd and filthy behavior.
As a matter of fact, however Phil Robertson was not "banned" from A&E, he was officially on hiatus. It is my perception that A&E cooked this up to draw more attention to the Duck show. Robertson did not miss a single filming. His hiatus was a non-event. False indignation on the part of A&E that will result in more advertising revenue.
Even the Robertson family statement acknowledged that his language was unnecessarily coarse and apologized for it.
He describes himself as a redneck bible thumper, not a theologian, not a biblical scholar, and has every right to interpret the Bible any way he wishes.
But he is no Billy Graham.

Eivo, you said: "I certainly agree with 76 that there are a lot of costs that could be taken out of the health care system if only it were a free market system"
Are you delusional? Free market is what has brought you today's healthcare costs.

You are such a waste of digital bandwidth.
reminder: Your post 49 " I have already admitted that I am pro-death in the case..."
So, to say that you are pro-life except when you are pro-death is accurate.

Shorter version of eivo:
"I'm pro-life except when I'm pro-death"

The mandate is government involvement with healthcare.Medicare is government involvement in healthcare.
See the linkage? Same topic - government involvement with healthcare.
You have said that the government has no business being involved with healthcare. Perfectly reasonable quest to ask if you are going to participate in the program that you suggest shouldn't be.

Now I understand why you thought I digressed from the topic.
You got to know the players. David Green is the CEO of Hobby Lobby, he is at the crux of the legal wrangle over the HHS mandate.
So mention of David Green's history is very much on topic

@eivo, Couldn't get back to answer your question about me being a "freeloader" because I've been working.
Actually I'm one of those "federal employees" that are so easily ridiculed as being useless and lazy.
Often when people see me in uniform they say: "Thank you for your service!"

@eivo,Where did your medicare contributions go?
I know that my medicare taxes were given to my grandpa, and my grandma.
You are getting close to medicare age. If my generation stops paying into the medicare system, where you gonna get your benefits?
